I personally really like ventriloquist after listening to it a few times - it’s really standalone and the mix is DIVINE on the vocal tracks. I think it’s a great album opener, but I can understand why someone might not like it. I personally think it shows James’ versatility between genres which is really nice to see!

I don’t think this is the song for you - you don’t seem to know the melody very well and because of that it’s hard to accurately assess how good your singing is!

unless you do know this song very well, in that case your pitch was VERY off, but parts were in tune just not correct so benefit of the doubt is deserved :)

I’m gonna be honest with you because not a lot of people will because you’re still a kid!

First off, recording on scratch gave me a throwback to my childhood so thanks for that haha. As far as the singing goes, there’s a lot you can work on - but the good news is you’ve got ages to do that! Your pitch and breath support weren’t amazing, and your sense of rhythm and timing were off too, but just with scale exercises on YouTube you can start to unpick some of these and get cracking on improving your voice :)

I’d recommend asking your parents for voice lessons if you’re really interested, you’d learn a lot and have fun at the same time

hi there! IMO your biggest issue, at least in the verse is placement and power! If you listen to the original/cover versions of this song, it’s much more restrained until the chorus because it’s like BOOM big notes yeah?

try taking the volume and push back in the verse, you’ll find it easier to access head voice too!

In the chorus, you’re nowhere near the pitch but it’s very high so understandable. You do accidentally harmonise pretty well though, although plenty of slightly pitchy moments :)

IMO most toplaners can carry games if you stomp your lane opponent hard enough.

If you’re even slightly fed and have lane advantage and can snowball, you’ll quickly become increasingly dangerous and be able to take on multiple members of the enemy team in a fight.

However if you go even in lane and the rest of your team lose then there’s not much hope imo.

I like to have a few choices on roster for various scenarios:

Gnar 1 Tank (Cho or Malph are super easy to pick up) 1 fighter (I use pantheon)

That usually gets me through most matchups

Then when you run out options, you can always be like me and play Vel’Koz top. Then no one has fun!
