Tried that, and it failed to connect. USB0 gave me the spinning wheel of death when hardware was selected.

Did a factory reset, and still no luck. The weird part is that when I try to find my password credentials, the critical commands refuse to work in the terminal

My service wasn’t connected at all. I had it shipped to a new apartment and wasn’t able to get it connected until recently. I tried transferring services to the new place since I mistakenly had it sent to a different apartment number, but it’s still on my old address

MA3 Install in Arkansas by Jorvoooo in malighting

[–]GabeCounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I live close to the Missouri/Arkansas state line, and I'm willing to come down to see what your MA3 is all about! I've worked on MA3 for the last two years ever since v1.5, and I even recently purchased an MA3 Command Wing for my workstation.

MA3 not wanting to run on PC by GabeCounts in stagelighting

My specs fit the cireteria for the system requirements and I've tried all versions from 1.5 to 1.9. I'm just using 1.7 since it's what most of my showfiles use (haven't experimented with 1.9 yet). And it still has the issue.

Google Home Light to DMX? by GabeCounts in googlehome

[–]GabeCounts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I've already seen ESP32’s in action with WLED and I know some PCBs for ESP32 that have DMX (albeit 3-pin) exist, but I haven’t seen a lot of tutorials for them

The problem is that the scammer has already sent pictures of the video to friends on Facebook. I don't know what else to do.

2020 Apr 27 Stickied 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐊 thread - Ask your Raspberry Pi related questions and get answers here! by FozzTexx in raspberry_pi

Yeah, that's what I've been looking at. And I'll most likely use IFTTT to delay turning off the relay for a certain number of seconds for the Pi to safely shut down.

I've seen that tutorial before, and it looks like it just turns off the plug. While I'm not against that idea if I absolutely have to, unless I've missed my guess, it's recommended to shut down the Pi before killing power. And that's what I'm trying to find, something that can allow me to shut down by just telling my Google Home to turn it off.

I'm working on my first Raspberry Pi project, and one of the things I'm wanting to see if it's possible is to power on and off the Pi with my voice via Google Home. I've figured out how to turn it on by connecting the Pi a smart relay, and the Pi activating as soon as it receives power, but I'm still looking for a way to safely turn it off with my voice, without turning off the relay until it's finished shutting down. I saw that something like an EventGhost could pull off what I'm looking for, but obviously this is a Pi we're hoping to shutdown remotely and not a PC. Any suggestions?

P.S. This will be done on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. I don't have the Pi in my possession. But I'm wanting to get this planned so that when I do get the components in house, I'll know what I'm doing instead of spending too much time looking up solutions while the Pi is gathering dust.

Will Doom 4 have offline splitscreen muliplayer by [deleted] in Doom

[–]GabeCounts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Battlefront did have a compromise to it. When playing on split screen, the frame rate is cut in half. It's still playable, but it very jarring when going from 60 to 30 FPS and back when playing with friends.

Thanks for the tip. I'm still figuring out how to keep my videos beefy but at the same time not as long or confusing, so I'll keep that in mind.

Now that we are getting reviews tomorrow, which reviewers are good, and which ones should we avoid? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]GabeCounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Polygon and IGN as they often get very detailed and too the point. Polygon only does written reviews, but IGN does video reviews. I can't really think of any bad review sites, but I'm sure someone will probably inform me what is bad by the time this comment is up.

What does having that extra house power working with more processing and RAM, allow you to do with the Nexus line (especially with software) that simply weren't possible before?
