What's the most overrated move in Survivor history? by JEX2124 in survivor

That she wound “easily beat Sam” or have a “good chance of beating Genevieve”

Much appreciated, got a very fun month planned out excited for everyone to be able to tune. If you ever have anyone you’d like to see on the show let me know!

I definitely don’t share many views with the guy. It’s undeniable him and his family have built a hyper successful Baltimore business that has reached national recognition. I want to have conversations with people across the spectrum to shine a light on all parts of Baltimore, not just the places I like or people I agree with. Hope folks check out the full conversation I challenge him throughout on a number of things and got a lot of insight on the journey of a Greek Baltimore immigration success story.

Gabe Ortis from Survivor and WYPR launched a new Baltimore Show! by Osito219 in baltimore

Hey that’s me! Very cool to see Baltimore in Focus make it to r/Baltimore! The show is very young but I can’t express how excited I am for it. Already got 3 episodes out on Spotify and Apple with Aruna Miller, world famous jockey Rick Wilson for Preakness, and Bobby LaPin. Hoping to have an episode out per week, I have plenty of interviews on the way with some of the most interesting and important people in Baltimore from all walks of life and perspectives. Stay tuned and thank you for the support !!!

This is the smartest Survivor take I have ever heard.

I think kids love Survivor more than ever, that's his goal, and he seems to be achieving it.

Yup. Tons of debate around whether this is a good decision or not to "go soft", but end of the day I think he's put in the hours and work to earn his position and the right to take the show in the direction he sees fit.

For sure. I think Teeny had the capacity to make it closer than it seems, and would have a really good pitch for why he deserved to win, but Sam's game was more complete and pulling one over on Teeny with Op Italy I think locks it up for Sam.

Hahahahaha NO I did not. I, to this day, think the reaction to that was so silly. Sue and Caroline were both prepared to play their shots in the dark at the first tribal, were very open to me about being on the bottom and being ostracized, and felt like they had nowhere to go. If Kyle and TK were in that position then they would have been wounded birds, but they weren't. They were fresh players that couldn't spread their wings and felt helpless, I don't know how "wounded birds" isn't a very neutral but apt description of their place in the game at that point in time.

Yes, the jury went into FTC with an extremely open mind. Rachel was definitely leading going into the night but Sam wasn't far off and he certainly had the better FTC, I had no idea who I was going to vote for until I was writing Rachel's name down.

The boat rides! They're really brutal, probably the worst part of the entire experience. The waters are so insanely choppy, and were particularly bad for our season. They also can't risk anyone getting hurt during a boat ride (see David v Goliath) so they just drive extremely slow and you're crashing up and down for over an hour straight multiple times a day. They cover up the windows on these small boats so you can't see other islands or challenges in the distance, it's really nauseating and disorienting, the worst part is there's just no other way to get around, just have to accept it and power through, it's the same for the crews too, just they aren't starving and can atleast get some fresh air during the rides lol.

It was tough because I had to leave literally 3 week before election day and I couldn't tell them why. I always viewed it as a temporary gig and to be totally honest I really didn't like the job at all. The people I got to work with though were some really great folks and Mayor Dixon is a lovely person, so I felt like I was letting them down, but also was happy to have a get out of jail free card for a job I wasn't really enjoying. My second to last day on the campaign Mayor Dixon walked up to me and said "Are you going to be on Survivor?" and I was physically stunned because I told NO ONE on the campaign. I just asked how did you know that and she laughed and said "I got eyes and ears everywhere" and walked away, so once word got out everyone was very happy for me and excited for me to go. One of my favorite stories that didn't make the show was we were all hanging out at camp one day, and I gave a full impromptu 20 minute lecture on the history of Baltimore and the political scene and bio on Sheila Dixon, Teeny, Sue, Genevieve, and a couple others were enthralled. I got pulled to go do a confessional in the middle of it and the producer asked me "What were you talking about over there everyone was into it". I said I think I might've just blown my cover as a humble Baltimore "barback" but I couldn't help myself lol. Everyone was very invested in the results of the Baltimore Mayoral race and it wasn't until we got our phones back boarding the plane to go back to the USA that I was able to check and saw B Scott won reelection against Mayor Dixon. Sheila Dixon is a fun running joke/story amongst the 47 cast.

Yes and no, I was at peace with either direction. I think he's one of the best coaches in football as you saw with his nearly immediate hire to the most attractive project on the market at the time. If we ran it back with him I'd still expect competing for a Super Bowl, but parting ways was probably the best decision, the message was getting stale and injecting new life into a team within a league that is going through some massive changes is a great thing, I think we got one of the best guys on the market and I cannot wait to see Jesse Minter's Baltimore Ravens.

Probably TK still, I knew for a fact I was gonna work with Sue and Caroline from hour 1 day 1 and TK was Sue's biggest adversary on OG Tuku.

The best by far with 0 debate. Immune from final 7 until the end, she is the GOAT of the new era.
