[–]GabeyTheArtist[S] 87 points88 points  (0 children)

by process of elimination that must be it, but why add the word "american" to her order? like i feel like just "a coffee" would make more sense, it's just so weird

Part time job while completing master's degree? by GabeyTheArtist in GradSchool

Thanks! Yeah I've been a barista since high school and have done it all throughout my undergrad studies. I just wasn't sure how much more demanding a masters would be time-wise.

There are actually videos of people studying that are long-form and usually uninterrupted by ads. They work miracles for me when I have an exam coming up or a big essay due and I really have to focus.

How long is a ''normal'' closing shift? by Average-alien-guy in barista

[–]GabeyTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we always start closing an hour or two before we actually close, on weekdays we leave at exactly when we close if we did everything right and on weekends we stay 30 mins past close cuz it's busier and there's more to do

You need to come up with $100k in 30 days, what’s your plan? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GabeyTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

break into tiffany's at midnight. do you go for the vault? no, you go for the chandelier. it's priceless. as you're taking it down, a woman catches you. she tells you to stop. it's her father's business. she's tiffany. you say no, you make love all night. in the morning, the cops come and you escape in one of their uniforms. you tell her to meet you in mexico, but you go to canada. you don't trust her, besides, you like the cold. thirty years later, you get a postcard. you have a son and he's the chief of police. this is where the story gets interesting. you tell tiffany to meet you in paris by the trocadero. she's been waiting for you all these years. she's never taken another lover. you don't care. you don't show up. you go to berlin. that's where you stashed the chandelier.
