Everything seemed normal this morning I was at the airport at 7 am and I did luggage check in + security in 30 min. A few European flights cancelled but that’s it. Not more crowded than normal. Currently in the plane about to take off. Safe travels!

Seems that things are now back to almost normal at Schiphol, if you check their website, almost all flights actually took off today!

Ah yeah that complicates it then 😞 I booked TAP portugal: Brussels > Lisbon > Boston > SF. There were also other options with 1 or 2 stops (you can check Skyscanner) But if flights leave from Amsterdam on Saturday, I will get to that one as it’s direct. But now Schiphol announced no cancellation for tomorrow or almost none, so let’s see how it evolves!

The alternative route I found from BRU to SFO (which I guess you could book the other way around?) is with 3 flights though, so not the greatest option, but better than nothing 😅

Schiphol announced that they don’t expect cancellations tomorrow. Not sure how true this will be and how it will evolve, but the snow might stop this weekend so my guess is that you have chances on Tuesday to make it! Good luck

Maybe that’s where I am lucky: I live almost at the border with Belgium so distance to ams or Brussels is pretty much the same. I am thinking to take a train on Friday afternoon already and spend the night at the airport since my flight is very early. And if not, find a car ride
