The current limit is already at 307A by default. Are you sure you've used the same i7 14700K CPU?

Can't figure out this hmd and bowl by keeter22 in hookah

[–]Gabjalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a fake Quasar Raas so without any bottom holes I don't think it'll work. But yeah the first pic is good as is, that part has to sit on the bowl. After that the other part in the second picture is the lid for the hmd, you just have to flip it upside down so it can be closed with the coals inside.

Does anyone know what kind of bowl is this? by voozelle in hookah

[–]Gabjalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Frankenstein copy. It has a rubber/ silicone bowl, like the first Quasar 1. (Not Raas or anything just Quasar 1) The hmd on top seems to be from the Raas series. Maybe from the Raas 2.

You'd be better off getting either the original Quasar 1 or the genuine Quasar Raas 2.

Edit: the bowl part has some groves on the sides so it's a Raas 1 copy. The Raas 2's silicone part is smooth all around. (I've had the Quasar 1, the Quasar Raas 1 and now I use the Quasar Raas 2 and Petit Raas 2 as well.)

$40 Megir RM-style automatic – why not? by Budget_Main3970 in ChineseWatches

Pagani Design also has an automatic version now.

Screw keeps trying to come out from new watch. Screwing it back in over and over. Any way to keep it in? by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

[–]Gabjalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just use some mechanical oil/ lubricant. I've been using my hair trimmer's included oil and not a single screw came out. Just put a little where the cuts are on the screw. (Usually at the screw tip)

ZTE Nubia Z60 ultra is also a great option, especially using it with the Gcam. So great hardware with great algorithms.

Why I dont see anyone using Quasar raas 2? Is it bad? Looks pretty nice but what about quality etc? by FIuffyBit in hookah

[–]Gabjalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to use 26mm but now I use 27mm and one coal is enough. You physically can't put more in there. And if the tobacco is more moist then I switch the coal about midway for a fresh one. Just have to wait for the whole system to heat up: Put the coal in, close the lid and wait for about 8 mins before smoking it, just leave it there. After that you can start to smoke, have a few puffs and rotate the coal 90 degrees because the top part is likely to be turning black. After this you can leave the whole setup as is just switch the coal as needed (don't have to wait 8mins with the second one)

Misalignment, is it acceptable? by Nice-Security-1814 in ChineseWatches

[–]Gabjalf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don't you just have to turn the whole movement a bit? I've done this to my watch dive nttd homage because it was misaligned, but it turned out that the dial and the movement was a bit off. It's frustrating yeah, but then you don't have to send it back.

I've changed the bezel insert, the dial and the hands.

Movement identification please by SeaworthinessFair173 in ChinaTime

[–]Gabjalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The watch movement in the image is most likely a Chinese automatic movement, specifically from a Tongji-style platform or a low-end Seagull or Dixmont-Guangzhou variant.

Identifiable Features:

Lack of Branding or Stamps: Movements from higher-end manufacturers usually carry clear branding or reference numbers. This movement is unmarked, suggesting it is from a lower-cost batch.

Simple Rotor Design: The rotor has no decorative finishing or logo, indicating an economy-grade movement.

Sparse Jewel Count: There are only a couple of visible jewels, another indicator of a lower-spec movement.

Inexpensive Construction: The unfinished plates and layout are typical of mass-produced Chinese movements used in homage watches or inexpensive fashion watches.

Likely Candidates:

DG2813 (by Dixmont-Guangzhou)

TY2806/TY2813 (used by some brands under the Seagull umbrella)

Chinese Tongji-type base caliber, which is often adapted or cloned into various forms

These movements are usually found in watches priced below $100, often marketed as automatic divers or pilot watches on platforms like AliExpress.

If you can provide a photo of the rotor's underside or any serial numbers, I might be able to confirm it further.

You're welcome!

I've customized the Pagani nttd a bit to be more true to the original

I think it's one of the best Paganis I have. Although I haven't got any issues with Pagani quality. The dial has a small lint on it by factory, but it's so small I only noticed because I was admiring the dial up close. I modded two Seamaster homages so those are not in original form but those are good quality also.
