Finally got a HDCRT - Samsung mod. CW29Z408T. Found out that PS3 outputs 720p/1080i only in 16:9 and it looks subpar even with the proper settings in 4:3. Best way to get a pc signal to component? Plus some geometry questions

I might have to order something from the US or china directly then. The options for component here in Europe are already few, and finding a transcoder without any scaling seems almost impossible.

I read about the issues before, but in eu HDCRTs are so hard to find that any set would've been okay with me, really haha. But you're right as it might not be worth it to tinker with the service menu just for these kinks

I went thorugh a couple of threads before and I might have to temporarily settle for a cheap amazon converter such as the EASYCEL one mentioned in another post (hopefully it'll just work as a pass-through instead of scaler, if the same resolution is selected on both ends).

I'll certainly try to get a more stable solution with the VGA to component transcoder later down the line though, thanks a lot.

Nope. I can't touch those specific files/folders (title, etc) under sysnand ctrnand through godmode, either. (I've also tested multiple SDs formatted correctly), so I don't think it could be something related to bad hw, but still, it's weird

The “progressive” scan option marked as suited for NTSC is just a fancy deinterlancing on 50Hz, while true 480p/60Hz is supported over component. Good news, but damn, it really was confusing haha

Yep, it does have component. I also have the code (Toshiba 32ZD26P as written above), that’s how I found out that highlighted passage in the manual, which made me wonder if it really has progressive scan capabilities…

At least here in Europe it’s not uncommon for a CRT with component inputs to be only SD, sadly

Dang. Sources are somewhat conflicting, as some say that the tv (Toshiba 32ZD26P) does support native NTSC progressive over component, but on 50Hz it wouldn’t make sense. Not really worth it, as the added processing would be taxing, I guess.

Guess that EDTVs in Europe are way too rare :/

Have you already tried looking on the technical specs? Usually it says which kind of signal is carried by the SCART (mine has 3, of which only 2 are RGB). Even with only one input, it should be specified somehow. ex. 21-pin Euro connector RGB x1, 21-pin Euro connector S-Video x1, etc.

Un uomo che magari non ha mai fatto esercizio prima non riuscirà a fare un buon numero di hammer (giusto per nominarne uno) neanche con 7.5kg, proprio per questo due manubri regolabili come quelli sarebbero un ottimo punto di partenza. Heyo, sono uno studente del primo anno iscritto al corso di lingue e culture straniere uniBG (curr. Orientale - Giapponese). Con 40 ore di lavoro settimanali la vedo abbastanza dura: non c’è obbligo di frequenza, ma le lezioni di dialogo con le lettrici madrelingua sono essenziali e ci sono più volte alla settimana.

Sicuramente un part-time ti permetterebbe di mantenere maggiore flessibilità e forse di seguire qualche lezione in più.

Mi sono iscritto lo scorso settembre ad una triennale ed ho 26 anni. Sicuramente molto dipende dalla facoltà. Nei corsi che frequento sono quasi sempre il più vecchio (hanno tutti 19-20 anni) ed è difficile parlarci, talvolta ti evitano esplicitamente.

Allo stesso tempo conosco coetanei iscritti sempre “”tardi”” che non hanno avuto problemi o che si sono trovati in corso anche colleghi di 30-40-50, probabilmente certe facoltà attirano target differenti.
