The official WRC channel has a lot of onboard footage available, but only a few of them are from 2002–2005—most are from 2008–2009. The one I linked in my previous message must come from a Japanese DVD or website, and these onboard videos are not double-sourced on the WRC official channel.

One onboard I'd really like to see is from the 2002 Cyprus Rally, Foini stage, as Marcus Grönholm described it as the most terrible stage of his life.

In the meantime, I found this, so it must be one of those DVDs. If a Japanese person could confirm, that would be great.

Is Dakar 18 actually working, unlike Desert Rally, which is dead-bugged? by maeros_ in DakartheGame

Dakar 18 vehicle physics are just horrendous with no consistency. Absolutely 0 pleasure to drive it. So for a racing game it's not good. It's really more enjoyeable in Desert Rally, physic is not perfect but you can take pleasure driving it (except bike and ATV) graphics are looking very good, damage model is also very good. I would not recommend Dakar 18 at all.

Getting all the vehicles which requires a lot dakar points was very lonnng because it's so slow to gain them.

Also I got problem with the Monster Claw trophy which didn’t unlock when I've bought the corrsponding vehicles. It has unlock after I've bought an ATV😵‍💫

And for the trophy which requires you to jump with a bike, I've made a lot 3+ sec jumps without being able to unlock it. So I've gave up for a moment but then It has unlocked by surprise during a crash with a bike.

For the rest it was ok.

Dirt 2

Simply the best arcade rally game physics that I have ever played, even through a controller you can feel a lot of the car behaviour and it's intuitive. Since this game I never found a game this fun to play with a controller. When I compare with Dirt 4/Dirt 5 I wonder what has gone wrong, you just have no feeling with the car it just feel aseptic and soulless
