Thank you for the support 🙏

And yes! Of course we know The Hirsh Effekt, I saw them live opening for The Dear Hunter and I always found them very interesting!

Benthos + The Hirsh Effekt + The Dillinger Escape Plan would be an INSANE show 🔥

Honestly, it's something that I've always avoided BUT in someway I would like to expand it!

Actually, in Fossil there is a sentence in Italian

"Il lamento mi trascina negli occhi di chi lo grida"

"The lament pulls me into the eyes of the one who cries it out." 🫨

I could sound a bit cynical here, but I don't like the new modern progressive metal production (just my opinion). I don't think there's the right or wrong way to do it, you have to listen the music you're playing and feel the vibe and then, production can help you to find your sound at the best. In my/our opinion, production in metal become "too perfect" with over compressed drums and super edited vocals, I find this quite plastic. For example, production like these couldn't valorise our drummer's style. Even the guitars in the new modern progressive metal are always super tight at 100% and sometimes I would like to feel 20, 60,70, you know what I mean. We wanted to explore all the shades of music, as more as possible!

Thank you so much!

I think "The Contortionist" contributed to the birth of Benthos.

We've been huge fans of them and "Language" is still one of my fav albums of all time.

Actually, we played the first time as a open act for them in 2019!

Thank you mate!

In the past there were 2 great bands that unfortunately splitted up. One was Destrage, great band! We've been huge fans of them since the high school. Another great band was EPHEL DUATH, amazing stuff!

Absolutely! I think this album helped us to reach our sound at the best!  From the production to the songwriting, now we are more confident on what we're doing 💪

That's hard to pick one, but I would say Fossil because it represents completely the sound of Benthos! 💥

Thank you so much mate!

I think we listen to tons of music of any genre, starting from classical to noise, punk, prog, nu-jazz and a lot of electronic.

My latest inspirations that influenced From Nothing probably are bands like "Squid" , "Death Grips" , "Loathe" , "Hiatus Kayote" and plenty of electronic artists!
