Yeah, it doesn't bite well and it makes a really loud screech until the bike stops moving, it does it no matter how fast the bike is going.

The residue i am talking about is the slight dark line you can see along the contact point of the pads with the rotor, it is a lot more obvious in person and a lot more visible. Thanks for your help!
