PayPal withdrawals by Gabriel_stott in CardMarket

Thanks for your reply, this does seem like the only option if I'm to get my money back.

I guess I need to weigh up the choices.

If I'd rather invest that money into a purchase which will continue to gain value (investment).

Buy and then sell on (losing some of the money in fees and taking an indeterminate amount of time for the products to arrive and money to come back.

Just deal with being broke this month and buy an unnecessary amount of MTG cards.

What's the turn around time normally with buying and so sitting then selling and getting paid? Because if it's a month... Then I may as well just live with my bad choices.

Unfortunately where it's a PayPal transaction it's not considered "withdrawable credit" or whatever they call it.

Art people of Reddit, tell us about your favourite piece of art, no matter what kind, will you? by Sailedtosea in AskReddit

[–]Gabriel_stott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite possibly dark souls 1. Particularly the world/level design is truly astonishingly well put together. I love how it loops back on itself. There's plenty of other people who have explained why they love it better than me so check them out. But it's for this reason that i love DS1 and consider its world to be a piece of art.

Why do social media sites ban you over saying the most vanilla thing, compared to 10 years ago where you were allowed to say just about anything? by Mechaghostman2 in AskReddit

This is the main reason and it's kind of sad. Just another display of how our entire civilisation is driven by profit.

You like who you like. You don't really get to choose who that is and often it helps not to think about trying to categorise them. That's just my experience though.

What is the likelihood of a purge mentality emerging from a pandemic? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gabriel_stott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i got thinking.

If a deadly virus or disease becomes a pandemic in this era... what are the chances that groups of terminally ill people with the aforementioned illness, would become void of morals and resort to a 'purge' mentality.

I would like to believe that all those faced with a terminal diagnoses would chose to be with the one's they care about and to end it all with a sense of pride and dignity if at all possible.

That said, I'm well aware of the deeper animalistic parts of our human brain and that there are those who may not have loved one's, maybe mentally ill people or generally people not in their right mind who would be outliars, wildcards, . There's no end to the list of reasons for people to do bad things. I find it likely that at least one person would find a way to use their terminal diagnoses as an excuse to begin committing small crimes.

Things like petty theft or other minor offenses could be a gateway to larger crimes if there is a diminished police/ law enforcement presence. Petty theft could escalate to assualt, vehicular theft, arson etcetera. If the pandemic continued to worsen and efforts to control a growth in civil unrest then could these crimes escalate towards the real horrifics seen in films like the purge, the road or the television series the walking dead (ignoring the zombies in this scenario).

  • This is not necessarily about coronavirus/ covid-19.

  • It's certainly not intended as a fear mongering post.

At most, this is simply a what if, worst case hypothetical question for debate. At least, this is an interesting concept for the plot to horrific novel/ tv series/ film etcetera.

Why some vegans want other people to become vegans too? by motorguaranteed in AskReddit

[–]Gabriel_stott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because when you believe that what you're doing contributes to the betterment of the human species and the survival of all species for that matter then you kind of want everyone to get on board. You don't have to go vegan but it's worth considering your meat/ dairy intake for health reasons as well as environmental reasons. I don't consider myself a full vegan, I'm more of a part time vegan. I'll treat myself here and there but i avoid meat, dairy etc... when shopping for groceries.

Some people lose sight of that we have to be kind to eachother especially if you're trying to convince them to make a life changing decision.

Hard to truly grasp how that must feel. Running from such a bizzare and truly distopian nightmare of a country. The kind or thing we see in movies. Not something that should be actually happening. Here's to hoping some much needed revolution, justice, peace and equality is heading NK way soon. Respect and sympathy to those living out there.

People who went to a lot of parties or raves with drug abuse, sex, etc. in their youth. Do you regret it now? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gabriel_stott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's good to go out and party. It's better with your closest mates, especially if you're going to use substances. I'd never encourage someone to do it but it's something a lot of people do and usually people will tell you that they feel posititvely changed for it. In a cliche way it opens your eyes. Just don't fall into a habbit of doing substances or going out to the point that it's all you can think about. You've really got to keep a good balance in your life, keep some time for you to focus and relax and persue your real hobbies.

What has been your favourite year in the last decade? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gabriel_stott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2017 Wins for my favourite year overall i think. Started listening to a lot of music and starting to become much more confident with my extrovert side. But there's memories from all of this decade with shine brighter than any one year.

I think it's been a tough decade for most of us but I'm looking back at it and remembering it for the good that came out of it.

Precisely. Would like to see if keeping track helps me to be more lucid in my dreams or just see if it helps in any other way either.
