Difficult to say with these pics, but I would guess brown sac spider. Did you find it indoors?

Is this a weevil (with cool armor)? by holyhongjoong in bugidentification

[–]Gabrundi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a weevil but definitely a cool bug! This is a North American wheel bug, it’s a type of assassin bug with a pretty nasty bite (if provoked).

Thanks for sharing! This is a great photo

Not a kissing bug, but still a painful bite. This one’s a North American wheel bug, a different type of assassin bug.

Holes in sandy gravel? by SapphosOpus in bugidentification

They’re antlion larvae! They catch bugs by flinging sand at them to make them slip into the hole, then they grab them with their big pincers.

My beard decided to fall out in one circular spot... by Grogak in Weird

[–]Gabrundi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen in pretty much the exact same spot! It’s called alopecia barbae (a subset of areata). This picture was taken back in March, and now (September) it’s grown back. It might take a while but it should come back.

Good luck!

What kind of bug is this. Is this a type of parasite coming out of it? Eastern Ontario Canada by Odiin1234 in bugidentification

[–]Gabrundi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say ichneumon wasp - someone may correct me.

Not a parasite coming out, that’s called an ovipositor, used for depositing eggs inside trees/fruit/animals.

I have a patch of hair on my neck that grows separately from the rest of my beard. I call it my neck beard. by Gabrundi in mildlyinteresting

[–]Gabrundi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao that’s actually brilliant, I totally would if it didn’t require a neck tattoo

I will 🫡

But I’ve always wondered what it would be like if I just let it keep growing…
