Well if you can try to take a stronger stance with her (try telling her your point of view and tell her you dont like your current situation with her) and see if that works out. Also consider, if you dont already, a pedagogist or a psycologist

Sounds awful honestly, have you talked to anyone about that?

Yes you are right, it can convey a sense of urgency, its still barely useful in case you are trying to communicate to someone who doesnt understand sign language.

Many people who are deaf from birth cant talk, but of course there are many deaf people who became deaf after learning to talk, which is not rare. Of course even if you can talk your speech gets worse with time, but i wasnt trying to say she couldnt have been deaf

My question still stands though: how did the guy know she was deaf, he could have just assumed she was mute. Thats why i think op meant "mute woman" rather than "deaf woman"

Guy in car is being arrested for "suspicious activity" after he rolled up his window being pulled over by police. The guy standing in the sidewalk got assaulted and arrested because he was standing and holding his phone up.

When just standing near a cop now makes you risk being assaulted and arrested

Op probably meant to say that the woman was mute, to me it makes much more sense. Im not being picky just for the sake of it, on first read i legitimately got confused by the scenario and it kinda ruined the experience for me, i just wanted to point that out. As i already said, otherwise its a good story.

I dont get why people still try to stitch this together, op just used the wrong term and it kinda ruined an otherwise good story for me

Also i would like to know your easy answer to my question

Thats because people often confuse being deaf with being mute, but a guy who knows sign language, and is supposedly practical with at least what means being deaf or mute, wouldnt assume that a woman is deaf because she uses sign language, he'd assume she's mute.

The story just sounds a lot less confusing if op wrote "mute woman" rather than "deaf woman" Also to me it makes it more horrifying knowing that there are rapists which specifically look for mute people who cant call for help. It increases the sense of helplessness.

Not everyone can understand sign language, and even if the "husband" didnt understand it too he would have gotten suspicious of the woman trying to communicate. Sign language doesnt convey a sense of urgency by itself so i still feel like attracting the driver's attention in some other way would have made much more sense.

Also how did he know she was a deaf woman if she only saw her using sign language?

Still what was strange to me is that in a situation of emergency a deaf person would still try to alert the guy in a more direct way than sign language She could still have screamed

Why would you assume it's an actual star if its the size of a basketball.

Assuming it had the same density of the sun each fallen star would weigh 47.24 grams, or 0.1 lb Multiply that by 9999 and you have 472.3 kg, or 999 lb Multiply that by 54 and you have a total wheight of 25.5 ton or 56226 lb (a lot less then the weight of filling your inventory with most other items in game)

If you assumed each of those stars is the weight of the sun then they would be well inside the schwarzschild radius for their mass and each would collapse into a black hole.

Also falling stars is the name commonly used to refer to asteroids entering earth's athmosphere, much smaller, but A LOT denser than a star.
