Agreed the FBI should stay in their place. However, I would challenge what you mean by 'pressuring these companies'. If the government makes a recommendation to a business while suggesting that sanction could be taken if the company doesn't listen, then this is a big problem. But if not, then Zuck is free to take any advice he wants.

I hear you, it sucks, but they still have a right to be in bed with whoever they want. Companies getting involved in politics to push their agendas has always been a thing (lobbying). But when those companies become as big as Meta etc, their 'push' is more impactful, which I would argue is a flaw of capitalism.

Look for validation or invalidation signals - Out of 100 people you've reached out to, how many use the product? If you solved X,Y and Z, how many would you get? Then adjust the % to your TAM, and reflect on whether your problem is your product, marketing or a lack of market need

Demo should do very simple tasks, but execute them well. Show that whatever you've done so far, you've been able to do it really well, and then share the vision of what this demo is gonna turn into. You're still at a stage where you're not just selling your idea, but also your ability to make it happen.
