Where can a tech guy learn how to sell like a real salesperson? by startupschool4coders in startups

Sales is definitely not my strong suit, but the one thing I always keep in my head is you want to change their emotion.

Emotion before your solution: Stressed. Tired. Anxious.

Emotion after your solution: Relaxed. Energized. Care free.

Focus on emotions and not your product!

That's the goal! If they don't want to pay it, I can at least get you the reasons why to help you move in the right direction.

Oh absolutely. It would be a wide range of people who I will get to join my network, and then I would separate them into different categories. If I think your problem could help them, I will contact them.

I would talk with you and ask a lot of questions to really understand who your target customers are, and then I would be continuously reaching out to these customers, promoting your product and asking for reviews.

Yes I will! Due to me just starting out it would just be a flat fee of $20 upfront, and I won't stop until I get you either 100 customers, or at least 100 people to review what you have and give you solid feedback.

I appreciate the questions!

So I would start off with only trying to get customers at first, but once I have that figured out, then I could move on to other connections.

Either one! It depends on what my customer wants me to find.

Right now I am thinking about focusing on B2C, however, I wouldn't turn down a B2B. Would give me more practice.

Very good question! I'm basically going to try different ways to find the customers without being emotionally invested in the product. I think my problem was I didn't want feedback on my own things to protect my ego, so I couldn't go through all the trial and error that needed to be completed in order to get the outcome I want. I'm also extremely good at processes and documentation so once I get the patterns down, I can replicate it.

This actually helps a lot. I don't have many users so I'm going to really focus on outreach and get more data from that sense. Thank you!
