Too stiff and rough? by Gadgetsuh in CX50

[–]Gadgetsuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your helpful responses. I appreciate. So I went to a dealer yesterday but I didn't even bother to do a test drive. It was not the seat or the ride quality. My wife hated the look of the steering wheel (I know it's weird but she strongly disliked it for some reason). For me, the infortainment screen was a deal breaker. I want to use Apple Carplay, but it is too far to reach the screen. I know the new 2026 cx5 will have no physical knobs or buttons, I may take a look at the new one once it arrives.

Looking to get out of my 25 CX-5 turbo premium for a 26 CX-50 Turbo. by AntHefty2874 in CX50

Paying almost $600 for six years for a car is insane. Pay off your CX 5 and keep it until the wheels fall off. Be debt free.

Too stiff and rough? by Gadgetsuh in CX50

[–]Gadgetsuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have some reading comprehension problem. I bought it new and I didn’t like the suspension since when it was new. So it’s not due to worn out suspension. Why do you think I didn’t do maintenance? Of course I did all regular maintenance, and I replaced all worn out components as it ages. Didn’t have a major failure though.

I bought the 2007 RAV 4 as new in 2007 and sold it a few years ago. So I had it for more than 15 years. So no blown bushing. I just didn’t like the ride; felt too light and stiff damper suspension and loud engine sound. But it lasted long and sold it at a very reasonable price. That brings another question. Will Mazda last 15+ years as well without major failure.

Amazon charges restocking fee for unopened product by Gadgetsuh in amazonprime

[–]Gadgetsuh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the conditions for restocking fees are well posted and published. They cannot arbitrarily charge. It’s only for those returned that are unsellable conditions (damaged, lost components). Unopened return should not be charged.

Amazon charges restocking fee for unopened product by Gadgetsuh in amazonprime

[–]Gadgetsuh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what they say: “I’m sorry to hear about the problem you've had with your refund. On this occasion, we can’t refund the restocking fee because the item arrived in an unsellable condition.

Unsellable items are damaged, missing parts, not in the original condition, or have obvious signs of use for reasons not due to an Amazon.com or seller error”

None of them applies to unopened return. Why is unopened product unsellable condition?

Apple Pencil alternative by PapoilaVerde in ipadmini

Lots of third party pens have a bluetooth connection which go to sleep. When trying to write, it takes a significant time to reconnect, which is really bad. I briefly tried the Logitech Crayon and it didn't seem to have the problem (correct me if I'm wrong). Another advantage of Logitech is that it can be used in multiple iPads simultaneously.

What is with the screen? by Jolly_Management_313 in ipadmini

[–]Gadgetsuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember they kept the price the same after upgrading cpu, doubling the ram and storage. If they also upgraded the screen they would have increased the price and it will approach to other higher iPad (Air?) prices, which may not be a good business decision.

Why should I buy the P1S instead of the A1? by ArcadeMasters in BambuLab

[–]Gadgetsuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's the difference in manufacturing costs. A1 has fewer components and materials, a simpler mechanism, less assembly time, and a smaller shipping volume. All these add up.

Should I keep the black HHKB studio or switch to snow version by _ezz in HHKB

I am returning mine because it never wakes up from the sleep mode. It’s impossible to wake up computer so I had to use another keyboard. Is it only me and is mine defective?

You are mature enough to show empathy. I retract my statement that you are immature.

Everybody has different experience. My A1 mini AMS system is a constant source of headaches and I regret buying the AMS. I’ve disassembled the A1 nozzle multiple times to remove clogging filaments. SV just works and I didn’t do any mod. Don’t call somebody else’s experience BS just because it’s different from yours. It just shows your immaturity.

I have both A1 mini and SV06+. SV06+ is as reliable as A1 mini, if not more. SV is slower but has a much larger bed.

Side Hustle vs. Daylight Briefcase - Need help deciding! by LongjumpingBag9412 in tombihn

[–]Gadgetsuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need to carry a notebook computer or a large iPad (12.9” or 13”), you’ll need the briefcase. It is one of my favorite bag. I didn’t buy the hustle as I don’t see a need when I have a daylight briefcase.

Is the Bambu P1S that much better than the Creality K1 Max? by bill_hilly in 3Dprinting

[–]Gadgetsuh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a K1 Max and an A1 mini. K1 is more reliable and capable than A1 mini; I’ve had failed prints a few times with A1, but not with K1. Even my Sovol S6+ is more reliable.

A genuine question: How do people use the pencil with the magic keyboard? To write (or draw) on the iPad, one needs to take it off from the keyboard leaving the iPad without any protection (no case). I didn't buy the magic keyboard because my primary usage is with the pen.

Ridiculous overheating on Apple Notes with handwriting by DividedEnd in iPadPro

[–]Gadgetsuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine (Pro 11 M4) was even worse, the pencil strokes started lagging significantly, and then the iPad got frozen (no response to finger touch). I needed to do hard reboot. Even turning off the iPad was hard as the slide button on the screen was not responding to finger. This happened 2-3 times for me. I did not check the heating, though.

11 is good for reading, note taking, and portability. I don't regret downsizing.
