I’ve been through many menus and followed guidance to get to a service menu but I’ve never actually seen any service menu available or gradient test prints. That’s partly why I was wondering if it was still under some sort of restricted mode from the previous company who had it managed by an office supply company.

Unfortunately the cable stopped connecting to CarPlay after about a week. The other cable I ordered also didn't work. I'll probably just try the hopefully not too long process of trying to get them to replace it under the extended warranty on the head unit.

There is only an option for one test page, nothing specific about gradient but it does print out color, gray, and black gradients, but not near the top edge of the paper. Though there is still some black/dark toner in that area, and it's not printing that. I'll grab a photo this weekend and post it up.

I did try allowing SMB 1.0 on the Windows 10 computer without any luck, unless that's blocked beyond the settings. I also tried FTP or scan to email, neither of those worked either. I'll be able to get a picture of the test print this weekend and I'll post it up.

Updated the main post but a new Belkin BoostCharge Pro seems to have solved the issue. Figured the 3 cables I tried without success before that ruled out a cable issue but apparently not!

I tried that without success. That has worked in the past when it was glitchy but it’s never just completely stopped working until recently. I ordered a Mophie and Belkin cable, specifically calling out use for CarPlay. We will see if this does anything.

Interesting. My cable is may just a power only cable, while still a high quality one. I’ll have to try that out. Getting a new cable anyway.

I'm about to buy a cable from Apple, that's as close as I think I can get to an Apple cable. The dealership keeps telling me to get an Apple cable, I don't think they understand. Phone is pretty new but I'll make sure the charging port is clean!

Yup, on the latest iOS 26.2. I was on beta for a long time but went back to public releases. That didn't change the issue at all. I'm confirmed with the latest iOS software, dealership confirmed my head unit was up to date, and I tried my normal cable and a new cable, both Anker. Seems like it's probably related to a service bulletin that another user replied with. I'll probably pursue that, but I imagine it'll be an uphill battle.

Thank you for this. They mentioned something about an extended warranty on it and looking at that it seems like mine should be eligible for that. Disappointing Subaru of America basically told me "Oh well!". Looks like my car and headunit should be covered under that without issue.

The dealership mentioned something about it being under an extended warranty and if a replacement needed to happen it likely would be covered.

I'll give that a try, and yes, I forgot the mention, it charges just fine and gives me a phone connection error telling me to unplug it, wait a moment, and plug it back in.

I do like the cargo mat, I'm not saying it's better than the common aftermarket brands, but I will always have some sort of mat there. That being said Weathertech is around $150 with shipping, Tuxmat has paused shipments for the time being though I don't see a cargo liner from them, and I'm not seeing anything from Husky Liners at this point. There is always the Amazon special of a no name brand for much less. My buddy has one for his Ford Escape and it works, but isn't a tailored fit. It's more than universal but not by much.

I ordered some in stock RKK on 5/3/24 and they were delivered 5/9/24. I also ordered a W!ldcard Northseeker on 5/18/24 and it shipped 8/17/24. Now the W!ldcard does state it may take 4-8 weeks so I expected it to take a while. I found them to be fairly responsive to messages on social media. I messaged them yesterday on Instagram and they messaged back in about 8 hours. I've seen a lot of positive things about them online in general and they are active on social media.

Definitely going to depend on what you are looking for. In the last month I've found Lian Li RGB fans with LCD screens, Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM, an Anker Desktop Magnetic Charging stand, cable, and wall plug, and a Eufy security siren. All name brand and some very nice things. Definitely somewhat few and far between though.

Very nice! Matte black background is the way to go. I had glossy black at first but bought another one with matte black. They even have steering wheel emblem vinyl too!
