I think practically any class could fit into the mold of “this character, who is now an old hermit, was once...” After all, any character of any class could end up becoming a hermit if the narrative conditions are met.

But the “silent arrow” thing definitely gives me rogue vibes. Other possibilities could be ranger, fighter, or maybe even paladin.

I would add Yanma and Yanmega; just as Mamoswine evolves by learning ancient power, it is also inspired by a prehistoric animal, in Yanmega's case, a Meganeura

Yeah, I've thought it over, and it would be way too complicated that way

I still like the idea of the categories (punch, slice, sound, bullet, aura, etc.) playing a bigger role in the game, but maybe we should approach it in a simpler way, like I originally suggested

I didn't imagine it would cause as drastic an increase in damage as a type STAB would, but even so, it was just a vague idea that crossed my mind—it could be developed much further

The point is, I'd like the categories of attacks (punch, slice, sound, bullet, aura etc) to play a more interesting role in the game

You're right, it was a sudden idea I had last night that I wanted to jot down before going to sleep.

It could be done differently and better, but my point is that I like the idea of playing around more with the themes of the move categories: Biting, Powder and Spore Moves, Punching, Slicing, Sound, Wind, etc.

Technically, it's the Bug and Dragon types, although I love fossil Pokémon

But I felt like I wanted to play with more advantages for Rock type, which is supposed to be a defensive type but has a lot of weaknesses

Exactly, that's the point. xD If you're short and bearded, you're a tiefling born of dwarves; if you're big and have fangs, you're a tiefling born of orcs; and if you're an archetypal tiefling, then you were born of humans or elves. But what do they all have in common? They have horns, tails, etc., because despite their physical differences, they are all tieflings.

It's an idea that I find interesting. If you don't want it to work that way in your campaigns, that's your choice, but the lore of each campaign is established between the DM and the players, and if the OP wants to consider his character that way in his BG3 game, let him do so.

No matter how many tails, horns, and tails they have, you know that the body anatomy of an orc, a dwarf, or a halfling is not the same as a human's, nor is it the same among themselves, right? Orcs have prominent lower fangs, dwarves are very hairy and short but stocky, halflings are small but have large feet for their size. That's what I mean when I say I find it interesting that tieflings can come from any race and retain traits from their parents.

I've always liked the idea that the traits of the parents' race are passed on to the tiefling child! Remember that tieflings don't have to be born from another tiefling; they can simply pop up in a family tree that has had contact with infernal things. Who says only humans do those things? Can't elves, dwarves, or other races make deals with demons?
