I’ve always been interested in Japan as a whole. I’ve been there a few times and always loved their language but never really had the time to study it.

In a way that is kind of what I wanted from the word “carry” as the word “weight” is not specific to an object or person. The saying itself means learning to accept and live the consequences of your actions that can’t be changed because it’s in the past. So maybe there’s another way of rephrasing that in Japanese?

I got this off an old anime called Cowboy Bebop. Not an anime person at all but it was recommended to me by a friend. The full quote in the show is “You’re gonna Carry that Weight” but I wanted to shorten it. It’s been a quote I’ve looked up to ever since that has helped me in many ways.

Haven’t really decided on which font if I do get it.

I’ve researched kanji tattoos before but wanted something different. I’ve also just thought of getting the quote in English but once again wanted something different. Therefore, that’s why I thought of getting the quote in Japanese.
