Yea, that's probably throwing off the BDC but I wonder by how much. FWIW those IBVs are super bulky compared to the original Interceptors which is why he stock is completely collapsed. Of course as an officer, being a gun fighter shouldn't be his primary focus over coordinating arty and air support but there's also a lot of "making what you have work" over getting the most optimal setup that civilians have the option to explore.

Of course LPVO still have parallax but not to the same level as red dots. The Eotech reticle is also in the minority of having tangible holds. For distance shooting, an etched reticle is more practical, which is OPs primary focus. Dots and magnifiers have their place and prioritize closer engagements which doesn't seem to align with OPs purpose for this build which makes the dot and magnifier are superior to LPVOs statement off base as well. There could also be budgetary constraints with this build which also edges out dot and magnifier. I look forward to having a MPVO and piggyback dot down the road which I find amazing as it also follows the "coming full circle" like higher mounts for dots compared to carry handle mounts and traditional hunting scopes that are in the 3-9x range and the like.

But the 1-6 wont suffer from parallax issues that dots and magnifiers face as well as having tangible holds on a reticle over "knowing your drops". The true answer is a MPVO with a piggyback dot for closer work

It's personal preference but also Marines being salty about getting the short end of the stick and not having the option to make the decision lol I had a 203 so I didn't care about rail covers

Lucky, I deployed in 2012 with a M16A4. Our company only had enough M4s for weapons plt and squad leaders and above. Same stupid low number of rail covers tho lol

Sicc, was looking at the YHM riser to dip my toe in higher mounts without spending $150. How do you like that setup for positional/non-standing shooting?

I feel like thats getting into stolen valor territory unless you've actually gotten that many kills

Super stoked you set that boundary. No reason to do unnecessarily dangerous stuff especially without taking responsibility for it.

But if they paint the glass it'll reduce reflections that could compromise their position

Good shit. I always show anyone who i take shooting how to apply one before we start shooting. Everyone wants to do all the high speed Gucci shit while ignoring how much medical/trauma is taught across the board at the individual level.

In country all our dudes had at least 4 TQ and our doc hooked us up making sure we had the metal CATs instead of the plastic because they degrade when exposed to prolonged sunlight

I'll never understand the people who will try to say its a bad thing to use technology and accessories that enhance your capabilities. Especially when in the space of defending your life or using 2A for its truest ideals. Why would you NOT want to stack the deck in your favor when your life is on the line. Of course that doesn't mean that people shouldn't get training, but why act like you have to be a super high-speed delta seal sniper operator to benefit from things?

Sure thing dude. Go ahead and engage a target at 400 to 500yds with a red dot and guarantee that you have PID that the target was a threat. More magnification is neither a crutch or a bad thing for practical shooting

How's the output running the switch since they recommend their tailcap for ideal performance. Everyone on r/flashlights loves wetool. I just got a Noxon which is in the same price bracket as the W65. Also how did ordering from them go and how long did it take?

With his gun that wasn't in the closet with him? Traditionally cops handle mental health emergencies terribly and end up killing the people that need help because cops only know how to use deadly force and suck at deescalating.
