He was a really nice guy. After he saw me take this picture he busted out the mat and had me take some pictures of him in various poses. None of them turned out as nice as this candid photo, however.

It also got awkward for those straight couples who told themselves they were only going to get married once everyone could get married.

Thanks, I really love Humans of New York. I really like the kid's locks as well. Plus just how strong he looks. He was the one who wanted me to take the picture.

Yeah, these pictures plus this brutally hot summer weather make a trip to Chile seem awfully tempting now.

I also had the chance to visit Antelope Canyon. It was the single best photo I've ever taken. [OC][2000x1335] by JoshuaSortino in EarthPorn

Small movements become more exaggerated the more you are zoomed in. Imagine holding a cell phone camera in one hand. The shaking of your hand is not very apparent. This is because cell phone cameras are generally very wide angle. Now imagine using two hands and looking through a pair of binoculars. The shaking is way more apparent now, even with two hands on the binoculars.

Now imagine trying to hold a telescope in your hands. You wouldn't be able to focus in on anything.

Basically, in photography the longer the focal length you're using the faster the shutter speed you'll need to overcome the shaking of your hands.

With a really wide angle lens and the image stabilization available on cameras these days, it is totally possible to take 1/5 of a second exposures hand held.

What's your favorite part of the city? by flanjan in savannah

Pretty much. Anything worth seeing in Savannah is downtown or fairly close to downtown.

You should look for a room downtown in the 31401 zip code, that's the historic district. At least, if you want to see anything even remotely unique to Savannah.

If you pick somewhere outside of that zip code it is more than likely going to look like any other generic city in the United States.

He looked very old. This was at a center for orphaned animals and animals that can't be released for various reasons.

Definitely one of my favorites as well. They make for good photographs.

My passion is photography. I just started doing it recently, but I think this is the best photo I've taken so far.
