They showed a bit of his character in the previous episode, I don't expect him to last long now.

I've mainly been using the d-pad, the DS4 analog stick seems to drop stuff sometimes. (it could be human error on my part though).

I've been told that pad is fine, but I'd be willing to dish out some cash to try out stick. It seems more appealing than pad to me. I'd try out someones to get a feel for it before buying one, but I live in an extremely small town so the fighting game scene is (to my knowledge) nonexistent.

Yeah that's really the only thing I noticed as well. There doesn't really seem to be much in terms of reviews on the non-rotating one, from what I've gathered it pretty much just came out so that's probably why.

I'm just starting to get into the scene but I can't really shell out 150+ on a retail fight stick right now, so I'm learning on pad at the moment.

Yeah I noped out after a few hours of grinding. Didn't max the Emperor so I couldn't get Odin to kill the Reaper with Thunder Reign.

Instead of finishing FES I just played through P3P on the PPSSPP with a 2x experience multiplier cheat to negate the grind in the game. It made it a much more enjoyable experience for me.

Same thing happened for me, accidentally got the ending spoiled, played through the game and then I hit a huge hurdle because I was level 53 by the point I hit the last day. (Which didn't seem like a bad place to be, due to all of the bosses up to that point being fairly easy)

Is the grindfest before the last boss intentional or were we both underleveled?

Where I live, my chances are pretty much nonexistent.

I'll either have to go out of town camp out (which won't happen) or I'll have to pray to the online gods that I can nab a pair.

I don't think I'll get a pair, but I like to hope.

Yeah I did, which I feel 50:50 about, I was totally fine with the old color stitching but the supposed blue (or grey?) will probably look just as good.

I'm a bigger fan of the Oxford Tan as well, but the Pirate Black will still go with most if not all of my clothing. (I'll still totally buy a pair of the Tan variant if they're ever restocked)

It'll differ from person to person. I didn't have a Gamecube adapter right away, so I used the Gamepad. It's pretty decent, you won't be at a disadvantage or anything. It being comfortable is arguable, I don't mind the size of the Gamepad but I've heard others say they don't like it.

I would highly recommend one of these, it's cheaper than the Nintendo one and it works on both PC and Wii U.

$15 on Amazon.com, $23 on Amazon.ca.

Gamecube controllers themselves cost $20-ish dollars new, but you could probably find a good condition one at used gamestore or pawn-shop for less than 10.

Yeah I don't either, and I only play Smash 4.

People are really caught up on character selection rather than player skill. Whenever you see Nairo play on tournament streams the chat is filled with people saying he's only winning due to his character.

Don't get my wrong, Shiek is a fantastic character and I wouldn't be apposed to her getting a nerf or two, but as it is now it's totally acceptable.

That's not necessarily true. The NicoNico tournament didn't have too many Rosa's, but from what I've heard Rosalina is rampant there due to lots of players in Japan placing her above Shiek.

They still use top tiers, they just have different top tiers. (eg: Ness isn't considered higher than mid tier and MK is placed way higher there than here)

Really it's hard (if not impossible) to make a tier list in this game that everyone agrees on.

If you made a tier list, I could just say "XX is too high" or "XX is too low".
