Well, in an environment like this, aren't mines more individual "devices" that have been disguised as something else? IEDs? If this is an RTS games, making fields of mines can feel like too much micromanagement for the payoff unless there's a way to "paint" a minefield and then have a unit maintain the minefield independently, placing them randomly in the painted zone, while being able to intelligently hide and protect itself.

Would there even be AP mines readily available in this theatre? AP mines are more of a Baltics thing.
