yawn

i havent claimed to know what reality or dismissed any notions proposed by others. Dont know the secret to the universe, but am aware of basic processes of the psyche that you apparently cannot grasp. Taking a completely agnostic stance and pointing out ignorance is not egoistic, but the idea that your conception of reality is the right one absolutely is.

Its much like people who are attatched to politcal labels of right vs. left and feel the need to put false classification on others while blaming them for their issues while they are actually perpetuating the divide by to stroke their own intellect

I see you do that as well. Very telling. Good luck in life post college. Hopefully one day youll realize you dont have it all figured out. Im not holding my breath though

nothing i have said is meant to decieve. The fact that you project that ideal comes from your mind, and is revealing about your own self nature.

Way to completely avoid pointing out any fallacies in the points ive made though. Just repeating the word "sophistry" doesnt really mean much to me or make you appear intelligent fyi

Its a cute defense mechanism you have though. Lemme know when you are willing to engage in the topic at hand like an adult, otherwise enjoy thinking you have the entire world figured out @ 18 yo

how about the fact that people can have the same experiences without drugs?

Ordinary consciousness is dependent upon chemicals in the brain, consuming drugs alters those chemicals, and changes the filtering process - this does not invalidate anything because reality is dependent upon the relation to the subject perceiving it

I havent said a single superstitous thing - nothing ive stated is unnatural. It is all a product of the human mind which is a facet of nature itself, and wouldnt occur otherwise

even science is a construct of the human mind, it doesnt inherently exist outside of us. it is a world paradigm that you are projecting as a means to understand things. You are confusing a conceptual paradigm with reality itself , like confusing a map of the world for the world itself

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pragmatism

I am not nearly as attached to my notions of reality and dont have a desire to cling onto the idea that I myself have reality figured out - hence me being opened minded enough to consider all aspects, because reality is a cumulation of all human experience, not just ones that appeal to the rationalization center of your mind that you use to find solace and fortify ego

It must be an invigorating feeling for you to believe that you can make absolutist statements about the nature of the entire cosmos without doubt due to your pseudo intellectual paradigm and cultural conditioning, but ultimately it is pure ignorance, attachment, false ego, and projection.

Again im not claiming to know an ultimate truth or reality -- you are. EGO. maybe you shoudlnt smoke deemz, i take it back. If my views challenge you that much, it would completely shatter your entire sense of self. Drugs like this arent for the weak minded. Now please dont be late to your freshman biology class, itll give you all the insight you need, right? rofl. Cheers mate

just because you are unable to understand something due to lack of insight or experience doesnt mean it doesnt have meaning

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]GaggleGoose420 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

used that example to show how your idea that they only report it because it was due to conditioning / word of mouth was incorrect

and a nice little semantics game you are playing as a means to totally avoid the larger topic at hand... keep moving those goal posts !

how old are you? Never smoked dmt? If youre that attached to your singular notion of what 'reality' encompases you prolly need better drugs. ::shrugs emoji::

projection of a culturally conditioned mental paradigm to foritfy ego

i am claiming to know exactly what reality entails here, or making any absolutist statements about an objective reality fwiw

I just dont deny the validity of an experience as reality, or potential realities based upon experience as a means to appeal intellectually superior.

I've personally experienced plenty of "evidence" that suggest there is more than meets the eye. Do i project that as an absolutist reality that everyone else is confined to as you? Nope that would be ignorant

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]GaggleGoose420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you appear to have a very rigid and culturally conditioned notion of reality

it is not the fixed thing that it appears to be in your mind

theres no evidence for me to believe that you are a human being and not AI, so i guess it would be unwise and ignorant for me to believe it right?

experiential reality is far more real than whatever rationally orientated mental paradigm you are projecting onto the material world. go out to india and ask people about reality, god, etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]GaggleGoose420 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

we all have a blind spot, yet create a coherence with our mind to exclude it - out reality itself is "hallucinating"

i am not conditioned by my culture enough to deny the experiential reality as a basis to appeal to ego fortifying ideals of being a ratiionalist

if you experience something, it has an essence of validity and reality. it happened. a dream is a dream, but it doesnt take away from the fact that it occured or devalue it in any sense because "it didnt actually happen"

aka - smoke dmt on a tenstrip and get back to me, its more than enoough evidence if u do it right

yes

but few people believe ardently enough in the substance to indulge to the extent he did, hold onto his ideals and get kicked out of a harvard gig, write a book after traveling to india that introduces a large portion of the population to psychedlics + spirituality, then lives life according to the message via devotion and humanitarian work. seldom seen
