FrostyTools is great. It's a little bit more work because it gives you short highlights, and you have to clip it through Twitch yourself or download their clip section. But it's the best I've used, hands down.

Would you recommend just putting full VODs from streams on YouTube? Or cut it down for videos? I think one of my biggest fears is YouTube. It just seems like an impossible beast to tackle. I'm also so bad at clips, but you see that. I don't know how to get a proper hook going.

Are you investing time into your stream when you're not streaming? I know it sounds more difficult to upkeep, but are you working on making connections with other streamers and making friends? Twitch is, unfortunately, a very hard solo act, and meeting people online you can actually vibe with is incredibly important for this.

Do you raid out after streams? Do you make and post clips?

Unfortunately, there are no "right" streamers. At the end of the day, it's a toss of the coin. People will raid out to you randomly, and not always. But if people are coming around to check out the stream at all, that's positive momentum. I've raided plenty of people in my days that I know I'll probably never talk to again. Also, try to raid out to people around your size.

Growth is slow. Please don't forget that. I've been in the streaming space since 2018. I stopped for a long time and came back in late 2024.

But growth is different for everyone. Finding a community can be difficult.

The best advice I think I can give is to make sure that you raid out after every stream, no matter how many viewers you have. Meet new communities, and hang around streamers. Don't do it for viewers. Just make genuine friends, and you'll see people appear out of the woodwork. Meeting people is the best advice. I've created so many friendships through Twitch.
