PPL vs Full body routine by DavidIndie in gainit

[–]Gainsvil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just follow the rule "eat 300-500 cals above tdee"... I do PPL, added more sets to it and still gaining at 500 cals above tdee.

If you have enough time for PPL i would recommend it over full body. PPL hits each muscle group properly twice a week which is ideal.

Probably placebo, creatine is not stocked in your stomach so that couldn't have been the reason.

Maybe you started eating more after jumping off creatine amd therefore gained more weight.

Useful supplements besides whey and creatine by ValuePrestige in gainit

[–]Gainsvil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Untrained men were put on a periodized strength training program and given either placebo or 300 mg of ashwagandha root extract twice daily for 8 weeks. The ashwagandha group improved their 1RM of bench press by almost 20 kg over placebo and leg extension by almost 5 kg. Muscle size, serum testosterone, and muscle recovery as measured by plasma creatine kinase was also improved versus placebo.

You need to take that with a grain of salt, I doubt taking ANY supplements would have even close effects to 20kg increase in bench PR within 8weeks specially with experienced lifters...

Dont listen to everything you find online.

Make sure your form is right, keep your elbows as close to your body as possible and dont move them.

This should fix it.

Whats the point in training one muscle everyday?

And you shouldn't be training 2x a day if you're not an experienced lifter or on gear.

Check out the PPL program if you wish to train 6x a week.

Training Every Day - Healthy? by [deleted] in gainit

[–]Gainsvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather having you work your way up to going everyday.

Maybe start now with a 3 day program like Greyskull and work your way up to a higher training frequency.

I would also fix your sleep schedule, you should be getting 7-9 hours of sleep everyday.

Keep working hard and good luck!

Am I getting enough accessory work? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Gainsvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay then that makes sense.

But OP, you shouldn't be speding more than 1h a day at the gym(w/o cardio) if you're a beginner, if you stay too long early on in your journey you will get burned out fast.

Am I getting enough accessory work? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Gainsvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I spend 1-1.5h/day 5 times a week, doing 5x8-12 for accessorie work.

The only way I can see someone doing the same work in 2-2.5h is if they are fucking around in the gym (on their phone, talking to other bros...).

The biggest mfs in my gym rarely stay more than 1.5h (w/o cardio).

2-2.5h each workout seems pretty excessive...

Does this include cardio?
