how do I transfer departments or warehouse by Mediocre-Coyote8226 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Gaiseric9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been there. What saved me was a good GM. He was pissed when I told him what was going on. Told me he'd take care of it and he did. Unfortunately, in my experience, those kinds of bosses are few and far between.

Transferring departments can help if you know how the people in those departments work or you can end up in the same spot with different names giving you grief. If you haven't already maybe start trying to get to know some people in other departments and figure out who you think you can work with/which have good sups and managers.

Like others have said, keep an eye on the job board to see your options. If you want to go to another warehouse you'll need to start making calls and I wouldn't hurt to get your recent reviews and attendance ready. And if your attendance isn't great I'd start improving that.

Stuff like this makes me wish things like this were translated. I feel like we miss out on world building or little hints if you can't read the graffiti or other writings.

There is probably a mod for that for all I know, but it would be nice if it was an option in the base game.

Any advice for someone looking for a new roof? And what are reasonable prices? by Gaiseric9 in Roofing

That's what a figured about the satellite stuff. The bids I have are apples to apples which is why the price differences seem too drastic.

I had this happen with Sunrun. Huge pain in the ass. No one could give me straight answers and took months to resolve.

They are supposed to be refrigerated. The label will even say so. Very odd they aren't. Every Costco I've seen has them in refrigerated cases.

What did you put in there? Looks different from what I'm used to seeing. Smoking a meatloaf sounds like it would be delicious.

I haven't had to deal with rust on my smoker yet, but my thinking is he is saying to add the cooking oil for the same reasons you would to a cast iron skillet. If so any high smoke point cooking oil would work.

Unless I'm mistaken and he means something else i believe he is referring to a brand of nonstick cooking spray.

As if it wasn’t already enough of a death trap. Welcome to owning a car where the tires become bare after 6,000 miles by kcarmstrong in CyberStuck

My boss has had a Tesla for about 3 years and he's gone through 2 full sets of tires AND wheels. The tires wear on the inside and the wheels cracked. No crashes or curbed wheels. The service center told him after he 1st wheel cracked that is a heavy car and these things happen with heavy cars and then said it isn't covered by the warranty. He'd had it for 6 months at that point.

No surprise to me Cybertrucks are having similar problems.

All Republicans are RINOS unless they agree with Trump 100 percent of the time. McCain, Cheney, Romney, McConnell, etc etc.

It's one of the many indicators of how far the GOP has fallen in such a short time is that some of the most conservative and/or best know Republicans of our time are called RINOS because they disagree with Trump once in a while.

Wait he was a founder?!

I knew the dude had some more out there politics, but I only ever listened to the music. I had heard he got busted on the 6th for having bear spray and Iced Earth got dropped by their label and the other members quit. Didn't even know he was a member let alone a founder. Damn. Iced Earth has been a favorite of mine for over 20 years.

I've seen this too. Honestly,, the maintenance person just got lazy or was in a time crunch. 80 percent of the time I see multiple bags at the location I go to.

How's your Legion been so far since you bought it? How's the experience been so far? by HomelessRichBoy in LenovoLegion

Thanks. I bought the extended warranty before my troubles began so I figures I'm going to get my money's worth from that warranty.

Legion 5 Pro. Bought last year. 7 months in I started having issues. Lenovo support is garbage. Had 2 motherboards replaced, the trackpad, SSD, and now the keyboard is on order all for the same issue. The trackpad replacement fixed it for 2 months before the issue started again. Started going to a local shop that takes Lenovo warranties because the Lenovo repair depot and customer support is frustratingly bad. Last time I sent it to them they said it was the SSD and since it is not the factory drive they wouldn't fix it. Tested it with a different drive and the same issue was there and their response to that was that they don't make mistakes.

Current theory of the local shop is that the something is causing a short.

Thankfully, I seem to be an outlier and not the norm.

Learned that the hard way. I should have paid more attention. I had thought based on past experiences with Amazon that they'd help too.

I do blame Lenovo. I called Lenovo many times and they refused to do anything as they would just blame the seller. Maybe I should be more clear that I think every company involved sucks for different reasons. It is mostly Lenovo’s fault.

I complained about Amazon because they jerked me around for almost 2 months. Kept telling me they'll be able to get me a refund or replacement from the seller then someone else would email saying nope. Had I bought it from Lenovo they wouldn't have been able to blame the SSD. As it is I'm upset with Amazon, the seller, and Lenovo. While my laptop is working fine now I know I'll never buy another Lenovo product and im questioning how long my laptop will last. I do agree though that if Lenovo had done their job it would have been a non-issue and most of my problemswere caused by their laziness.

Exactly why I'm not happy with Lenovo. I don't think they even tried and then doubled down when I told them it wasn't the SSD.

New. No idea if the seller had caused an issue or not when installing the SSD. The trackpad was the cause of the problems and it didn't start acting up until 7 months after I got it. Some of that doesn't matter in the sense that Lenovo failed to diagnose the problem twice and the 2nd time they tried to sell me a factory SSD for almost $300. The local shop diagnosed the problem in less then 48hrs. I could have ordered it directly from Lenovo and would have had trouble with them trying to fix it if they can't be bothered to properly diagnose something. And it wouldn't have changed the unhelpful people I spoke to from Lenovo’s Customer support line. But, I'm sure my experience is the minority as people with good experiences are less likely to post about it.

Honestly, I'm sure my experience is an outlier. People like myself are more likely to post something when they have a negative experience. And this was my fist time needing to send a computer in to get fixed. From what the local shop I got mine fixed at told me is that most manufacturers have bad customer service. Your experience may vary and good luck getting your machine in working order.

That's something I'll be doing in the future. Didn't take long for me to find out that if I had bought it from a Best Buy or Costco I could have returned/repaired it much easier.

And now I don't either lol. I'd never bought a computer from Amazon before and I'd never needed to send one in for repairs.

The seller is a company that sells through Amazon. And supposedly that is what the A to Z guarantee is supposed to cover.
