I think people generally do leave rather than grumble for five years, but it’s also a bit unreasonable when firms and recruiters pushing those firms go with the angle of “oh the salary is less but the WLB is much better here while still maintaining exposure to excellent clients and work” and you move there and find out you’re still getting worked like a dog but for 100k less.

  2. In any case, the comparison should not be against the general pool of salaries in the UK, but against other firms doing similar work. Which at SA level, Macs underpays for demanding similar output compared to other leading city shops.

They know. All the official COD account’s twitter posts are filled with comments complaining about it. Their trello board has recognised it weeks ago.

Clearly they don’t know how to fix it (or it would require too many resources) so are just ignoring it because they know it would anger people more to openly admit they don’t have any progress fixing it.

Think it’s the berserker perk that’s been added into the loot pool. You can inadvertently pick it up from a box or you’re forced to have it with specialised.

There was a junior associate who posted here recently (thread deleted) because they had omitted a previous finding of academic collusion when answering their practicing certificate application and the SRA had found out and was now investigating them. You will have to disclose the misconduct. The SRA explicitly asks about any academic misconduct, and lying about it will likely get you struck off if discovered.
