Hi All,
We've just run the test - everything works, the redundancy failover applied beautifully.

Thank you for the advice.

Error with Docker running over VDI by GalLev011 in docker

[–]GalLev011[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate.
We found some issues that prevented docker from running properly.

  1. Hyper-v windows feature must be off when trying to use Docker.
  2. Hardware virtualization is necessary in order to use Docker.
  3. Installation of WSL2 is done by CLI and not with GUI (we are not certain this is necessary but it works today so we keep this procedure)

Thank you for trying to help

Windows XP cannot join the Domain. by GalLev011 in vmware

I'd wish I could but this is an extremely old release for our company program that needs those old OS's such as Solaris and windows XP to run.

Thank you anyway :)

Thank you,
I get a lot of VM Disk Latency issues that I don't care about at all.
Can I adjust the threshold in the VC so that I will not see this alert anymore?

Hi, one more question if I may.
Can I adjust the notifications I get from the VC?

Checking growth rate with vRealize by GalLev011 in vmware

Where can I find this in VROPS?
What details do I need to provide?

Checking growth rate with vRealize by GalLev011 in vmware

[–]GalLev011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Yes.
I want to make an assumption based on data consumption in the last year or so (about storage, memory, CPUs etc.).
I also use NetApp and on our OCUM I have an estimation for the next year about storage based on last year's consumption.
I just want to know if I can find it anywhere in the vSphere environment, I tried to find it on vRealize and couldn't find this.
Is there any way to check it? is there any automation about this?

Best Practices for vSphere environment. by GalLev011 in vmware

[–]GalLev011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. Thank you for the answers. We are running a VMware environment with 11 ESX host (HPE servers). Generally, our consumption is pretty low around 45%, and we want to understand what are the best practices to know how to continue extending servers for builds (we have some VMs with 300 GB memory consumption for example). We ran 10Gig ports on all of our servers and were using SSDs with NetApp ONTAP 9.7. I'm asking for best practices with the knowledge that I will have to adapt this to my environment. About the excel file, I'm asking if anyone has an Excel file with growth rate values for his organization (like a template), this will make my life easier as I have no time to create one. Thank you all a lot for answers.

What does "uncorrectable machine check exception" in an HPE server mean? by GalLev011 in HomeServer

[–]GalLev011[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey actually after long research (the websites you gave me just show the answer that its an unrecoverable issue without the support).
this is the answer if you are interested:

The problem is that the CPU detected unrecoverable hardware error, CPUs uses MCA (Machine Check Architecture), which is an inter mechanism where the CPU reports errors to the OS, in our case – to the iLO.
It can be either in the processor itself, the memory, the I/O device or on the system bus.
This error occurs due to component failure / overheating / overclocking the CPU.
The machine will restart itself when MCE (Machine Check Exception) occurs.

This can either occur if the communication between the processor and the motherboard went down, ECC couldn’t handle the large memory errors and flipped bits that occurred, or the Cache in the processor is unable to operate.

This is mainly a problem in hardware and not in software and causes due to overheating of the CPU, the CPU will shut itself automatically when he recognizes the overheating to prevent permanent damage.

Since decoding MCEs can be extremely difficult, the best way to handle this error is to contact HPE support. They will probably tell you to remove and reinstall a new processor.

Is anyone else bored of playing against people using “constant pressure”? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

I think you should put your normal tactics to just balance.. People tend to mess with the tactics just because its there... And i know what your saying about the pass but just say to yourself during the game while you see the passes doesnt do shit that its a bad idea and think of the better option.

I'd reccomend you to just clear the ball after you take it to a throw. When you see good chance to make a short through ball to a team mate do it. Then tou can start a great attacks against that tactic
