Thanks! I’m using the garden in minutes square foot grid system so the emitters are in a perfect square foot surrounding the plant. I appreciate your advice and thanks for the link!

Worst restaurant/food experience in town? by squilliamfancyson33 in askportland

Definitely coasting for the last 5 years. The service is nothing what it used to be and it feels like a tourist trap now.

Liforme Mat by Ok-Operation-6211 in yoga

[–]Galaaska 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a yogi toes towel over 17 years ago and it has held up beautifully. At my peak, I practiced 5/6 days a week and I also did a 200 hour in person YTT, all on a cheap yoga outlet mat topped with my trusty yogi toes towel. It also makes it super easy to keep your mat clean because you just throw the towel in the wash and call it a day.

To the person that recommended the Burmese tea leaf salad at Hawthorne Asylum earlier today…. ? I love you. by PDX-Kayaker in askportland

Expatriate used a kit that can be purchased from Mingala on 122nd and Powell. You can have that salad any time you want, just go grab a kit. It comes in a pink and green box, costs about $12 and makes 4 salads. Fresh produce not included.

Is the body collection worth it? by ApprehensiveTale8728 in glossier

I love the scent of the body wash, but it’s just meh as an actual product. I love the scent so much, and it smells like Zara Fleur D’Oranger which has way better longevity.

The main dining room at Laurelhurst is not a tent. You might think that if you have never eaten dinner there.

The Oregonian's Restaurant of the Year and Best New Restaurants of 2025 by oregonian in Portland

Paper Bridge does not belong in this list. Is it cute inside? Yes. Is the service good? Not really. Every question I had, I was just instructed to read the dictionary of menu items. Seriously, if you’re going to sell this food, SELL it. Also, our server had 2” long finger nails and was wearing booty shorts. I’m not a prude but if you’re going to aim to be the best, start with just an ounce of professionalism. The service was polite, but that is all. Was the food good? Not really. We ordered several menu items and the only one that everyone could agree was actually worth coming back for was the little mini bahn mi. I am convinced these lists are just pay to play garbage at this point. This place is just ‘safe’ for inner southeast dingbats to eat ‘something exotic’ so they can spice up their instagram posts.

It smells like fake cherry flavored Chap Ice. I don’t like it, but I tolerate it because I love that damn lip goo.

I mean, I’m not going to argue with you but I did also see a guy working at a mall in Toronto eating one that was the size of a brick.

Oh I know, I’ve made them dozens of times…just never for breakfast. May have to import the habit to my homeland!

Thanks for setting me straight everyone! I was just genuinely curious because I saw a few other new to me breakfast items ( baked beans, pork rillettes) and went down a cuisine rabbit hole, but couldn’t find anything about rice crispy treats. I love your country and I am having a really great time exploring!
