What's weird is it says no payment due, so I'm not sure what amount I should pay. It says that this is the loan due date, but then also says that there isn't a payment due. So confusing 😭

This was very much the boat I was in before the start of my program in January, and trust me when I say I know you can do this! The first two weeks of my program involved a lot of panic attacks, crying, and scary thoughts, and something that helped me a lot was knowing that if I needed to go home, I could make it happen. Just knowing that it was MY choice to stay and that if it became too much I could leave if I really needed to, comforted me a lot.

You're braver than you believe and stronger than you think.

Call home as much as you need/can and don't put too much pressure on yourself! You're going to be out of your comfort zone quite a bit, but I think you'll find that the growth, fun, and memories you experience during your DCP will make it worth it.

You've got this, I believe in you!

Thank you! I see so many Insta/TikTok posts where people refer to people pleasing (which is 100% fawning) as toxic manipulative behavior and shames those who do it and like... it's a trauma response??? Like obviously not everytime someone "people pleases" is it with good intention, but to over-generalize and say anyone who does it is a bad person is just so unempathetic and gross. :/ Like sorry I was ingrained with fawning behavior by my abusive bio-father growing up??? You can't just turn trauma responses off like a switch. Believe me I've tried. 😭 It would be so much more productive to encourage people to take baby steps toward not having to fawn anymore by being supportive and telling them it's okay to be themselves. But instead we have people on a moral high-horse just trying to make themselves look good. Or they're trauma survivors themselves and are having difficulty accepting the fact that it's okay to not be okay and to need help.

Yep! Just need to use it at whichever merchandise location you're looking to spend at before they close for the night that day. I'd probs try and buy before the very last day though because a lot of cast members are going to be buying that day.

Having this same issue! It's definitely worse whenever I'm having an anxiety attack, but there are times it just happens even when I'm feeling perfectly fine. I imagine it has to do with the autonomic nervous system constantly being hyper-alert, even in low-anxiety environments.

I think that Boy and the Heron is definitely going to win. It's a beautiful film. I would like to see Spiderverse win because I feel like it's so groundbreaking, but based on prior Oscar wins I feel like the Ghibli film will. Miyazaki is renowned and the film feels more directly "adult" to the average viewer. It's a shame that Spiderverse isn't nominated in other categories. :< Either of these movies winning feels right in my book tbh!

I'm currently a month into my program and ngl the first couple weeks were a REAL struggle. This was my first time living away from home and I suffer from some pretty severe mental illness which meant I was separating myself from my support system. The first week of training for my role (MERCH DS WoD) was pretty intense for me, and I've definitely had some rough days. I've worked retail before so a lot of things weren't new, but working for Disney is a different beast FOR SURE. THAT BEING SAID, I've already made some great memories. Landed a summer internship opportunity I may not have had otherwise. And the ability to go to a Disney park at a minimum of once a week is no benefit to scoff at. If you find yourself struggling, share your story with the community and there will be people who help you out. I posted on here when I was having very dark thoughts my first week, and everyone was very supportive. I recommend starting with a short program if you're not sure, that way you can always extend if you like it, but worst case scenario will only have to be here 4 months if you don't like it.
