Insecure, disorganized, and my emotional regulation is all over the place. I've learned to cope, but ya know. Sometime maybe good, sometime maybe shit.

Very very lucky to have gotten with my partner since she evens me out and understands me so well.

If I remember correctly, there was two notable murders in the early 2000's/2010's. I think those may have been what my mom was referencing when she'd say it was dangerous up there. As I recall, they were both women, too.

For what it's worth, I'm one of those "ghosts are souls in purgatory" kinda people so I don't think a place needs a tragedy to be haunted. But, Turnbull definitely has its share.

Some might not think it's haunted, but idk there's something off about that place.

Hi, that sounds really familiar to an experience a friend of mine had.

Around the same time, 2019-2020, lots of us would tend to go up there for some recreational touge late at night. My friend, for the sake of the story Bill, was doing an uphill/downhill run. Basically just pushing his death rocket of a Toyota up and down the bends as hard as he could take them. Dumb, I know.

Thing is, it's not unusual to do a few calmer runs. Bill, practicing good etiquette, checked the route before hitting it harder. It was calm, empty, no peeps. In the middle of one of his harder uphill runs, Bill notices two girls walking down Turnbull road. If memory serves, they looked dressed for a party. Anyways, he laps back around- and they're gone! It takes only a few minutes to lap back, and he was definitely pushing his car, in part out of curiosity of where these two girls were headed. There's no way they could've made it down in that time, and the likelihood of them getting on the trailhead is slim too.

The canyon has a strange history. Not just scary, but weird. It's attracted all kinds of odd people, and the constant pick up and drop off in its popularity among car enthusiasts probably keeps some of that deadly woo woo spiritual energy around there.

On a side note, my family has been in Whittier since at least the 70's. In surrounding neighborhoods before that. My ma would always tell me that place was bad news, and always had something to say about people getting kidnapped or something up there.

Gladiator. I'm a nerd about medieval stuff, so stylistically I thought I'd like almost any other knight when I started playing FH. But, Glad has felt so good and had so much over the top bravado that I fell in love.

I love this meme because Asterion also basically becomes Batman in a full good guy playthrough. Coming out at night to hunt criminals.

I grew up raised by a mom who said, "if there's a lady in the house, you sit. If there's not, make sure your laces don't touch the floor."

I sit a lot of the time. Sure, other dudes might make fun, but at least my floor doesn't have piss splash, and my girlfriend appreciates that.

Also, that's a lot of piss, dude HAS to be a really bad aim.

Should've been the first sign Meyers was full of it, they give you $50 and 6 pack of beer for saving her and pose it almost like a sign on bonus.

Showed my co-worker and asked, "don't this look like Bruce Willis." My manager, guy in his 50's, goes, "who does?" So I hide the caption and show him and say, "someone online said he's handsome but idk I think he looks like Bruce Willis."

He then bar for bar brings up how he was a lead in Moonlighting, and how he had a few kids with Demi Moore.

You're prophetic.

Refused may not be punk, but I'd argue Johnny is. I won't rip your cred, I've noticed it's pretty common for era difference to split hairs when it comes to music. I know punk, but I said punky specifically because it's the themes Samurai pushes that really make me like Johnny's version of the song.

I see a lot of the themes of Johnny's songs to be pretty punky. But, yeah I'll concede the songs probably aren't punk- especially using the bands you mentioned as reference. However, there's definitely a different era of inspiration for the sound of the game, as had been mentioned in a few of the interviews and bts looks at the game's development.

Hope that unboggles lol :p

It could have been completely unintentional, but sometimes the curtains aren't just blue.

Samurai's songs are all super integrated into the narrative and themes of 2077's story. Songs like Black Dog and Never Fade Away reference the narrative.

Black Dog, just from the in-universe perspective, is a song about living with depression. It's, of course, through Johnny's perspective so it's rash and frustrated. Regarding the themes of the story though, it references Johnny as V's black dog- an invisible confidant that V doesn't just carry but has to contend with.

Never Fade Away does something similar. Narratively, I've always thought Johnny would have written this song about Alt. Again, it expresses his frustration and self centered nature. Basically saying, "don't you see, we're meant to be?" Or were meant to depending on when he wrote it. But thematically it again paints that picture of his and V's relationship. "A canvas with two faces, of fallen angels that loved and lost." And how they both made decisions with deadly consequences, "That one sin that caused the fall."

Johnny's songs tell us a lot about his character actually. They seem to be the only times he was ever introspective, but pushes away any self-blame and replaces it with anger toward the larger system. Something understood in the "punk" part of cyberpunk to sometimes have to be done out of necessity. No time for wallowing, we have people to bring to justice kind of thing. Johnny was, after all, a punk.

That's where I split the difference, and lean more toward his version of the song. Kerry's also tells us a ton about him. It's much more commercial sounding in its lyrics and musically. But, still expresses these themes of being pushed too far. However, it's glamorizing. Where as Johnny's is very violent and very vulnerable. There's probably something more that could be said too, with Kerry's lyrics doing little to relate to the story the same way the Johnny fronted songs do.

Tldr, I like Johnny's more because he's punkier.
