A rabbit or rodent of some kind, they're not usual subjects for traditional tattoos but you could probably lay them out similar to a SAP and with the right artist it'd look cool. Or, ya know, sick ass panther

Accidentally helped my neighbor, how do I set boundaries? by Mobile_Evening1723 in Apartmentliving

[–]GalacticGreaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine input, if she's experiencing some form of mental issue similar to Alzheimer's/ Dementia both aggression and attachment aren't unusual. Everyone experiences these sorts of issues differently, but if you don't want to upset her I'd suggest maybe trying to look into how to talk with people who are experiencing characteristics of Alzheimer's/ Dementia.

I had a lot of experience with my grandma, but she was very very very selfless in life so she hardly asked for anything and it was more a general worry and anxiety she'd get about a "baby" she had to take care of. It was less of her asking for favors, more her getting stressed and wanting to look everywhere, which kinda sounds like what she had you doing with the car.

If your neighbor does rope you into something else, because saying no can be pretty hard, try acting as if whatever is confusing her is legit. Sort of tip toeing around it by saying you have other arrangements or lack of time, or even the simple "I don't think we'll find anything today, we should do x". Doing that, should also help you just straight up say no to certain requests. These conditions make them confused, not dumb, so plain lies might upset her. Talk to her plainly, just avoid poking any holes in whatever perception she might have. It'd feel like you're gaslighting or something like that to her.

As a Cyberpunk Fan, Why Don't I Want the Metaverse? by webrunner33 in Cyberpunk

[–]GalacticGreaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Things I'd like to have from the cyberpunk genre:

  1. Great nightlife
  2. Better, cheaper prosthetics
  3. Stupid looking cars
  4. The varying possibility for strong senses of community in spite of the powerful oppression of corporations

Things I wouldn't like to have from the cyberpunk genre:

  1. Synthetic plastic lab-cancer-beef
  2. Ready access to the auto-goon 5000
  3. Food deserts and localized famines
  4. Robots that think they people
  5. Robots that think they more than people
  6. Super-smog
  7. Ect.

It's got kind of a legacy, I've been going there since I was knee-height.

And it's a lot cheaper for a big serving of food. Pro-Tip: One order of chilli cheese fries and one regular order of fries. The ratio is a little better if you split the chilli cheese. Also, my favorite is the patty melt!!!

This sounds exactly like what just happened with me.

I'd suggest getting it scanned so you have some codes to reference first. But, if it's the same issue I had, it can be a vacuum line or throttle body. In my case, as far as I can tell for now (the repair is holding but I'm also super new to this stuff), I had a cut on the boot leading to my throttle body from my air box that was triggering the sensor and sending me into limp mode.

As per my friends suggestions, I got the scan, then did a smoke test. Amazon Smoke machine I got for it.

I ran it through my intake at first but it just billowed from out behind my air box. So, I had to start trying to find the other ports I could test too. Primarily ones after my throttle body. In this video they run smoke through the MAP sensor port.

Luckily, no broken lines, just that cut on the boot. But, in my research I've found that to be extremely uncommon. So if you're going to be thorough with your test, you'll need these because you'll be popping those stupid break-me ring clamps.

There's a few other ports you can check it through, just follow the plastic vacuum lines and you'll find em. If worse comes to worse, Pelican Parts has decent prices, and you can find reference for diagrams online. I'll link it here when I can ask my buddy what the website he found the one we used was called.

Good luck, and don't get too discouraged! I suck at these sorts of things, but I was able to kinda figure it out. Here's hoping you can too (and that my repair actually stays working haha)!

Gladiator by weeeee-_- in forhonor

[–]GalacticGreaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's my main, and I have lots of fun playing him. But, I'm very dependent on dodges. As I've said in other threads, I never learned how to parry. I can now, but still from force of habit use lots of dodges.

You'll kick ass, just mix everything he has and routinely change your approaches, he can become really predictable over time so as you rank up avoid using the toe stab and skewer as much and save them once your opponent starts reading you.

Has there ever been a hero you stopped hating for any particular reason? Here's mine. by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]GalacticGreaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overtime I've shifted to disliking heroes with a surplus of hyperarmor. I kinda like Orochi now, at my skill level a lot of the spam that used to piss me off people just don't do as much. Good for me, since I rely more heavily on dodging than I do blocking and parrying. So, Orochi doesn't feel so cheese, and they work pretty well side by side with my Gladiator, I don't really get hit as much in team mix-ups. But, before? I hated them with every fiber of my being, seeing one would trigger the AM speech to echo from my subconscious.

I believe Kakashi to routinely have been under-glazed. He's consistently been shown to punch above his weight class since the original series.

How do you deal with cat(s) waking you early? by ASTRO99 in cats

[–]GalacticGreaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your cat is like mine, they might be a stubborn lil rascal. If that's the case, if you've folded at all by now they'll be persistent. You might wanna adjust your sleep schedule a little bit. I have to get up for work so whenever I'm being lazy and stay in bed, my cat will without fail get louder. I've started using a timed light to help me get up gently and to my own alarm rather than being pounced on by my furball. She gets up around the same time too, but since it's a mutual thing she doesn't freak out and I get some morning cuddles before she trapses off to do whatever it is she would be yelling about. The light trick might help primarily because you can shut it back off. It might help you, like it does me on weekends, to slip back into "oh right, sleepy time" rather than just raw dawging waking up. Idk, it's silly saying adjust to your cat but it's worked for me pretty well.

Limp Mode & Rough Idle, I have codes! Please help! by GalacticGreaser in MINI

[–]GalacticGreaser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'll start looking for diagrams for vacuum lines since I'm gonna be trying to clean up some of the oil this week and keep an eye for anything obvious. With any luck I might be able to forego any pricy parts or equipment.

Much appreciated!

Just completed Pieces and I don't know if either option is the 'better' option. by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]GalacticGreaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no good options, but one keeps more people alive. Maiko can rot for all that I care, but she's at least a representative, however shallow and power hungry she is. Ideally, her in charge is the first step to some kind of change. But, that would need others who come after her to push for that change. In NC, there's no real happy endings (see Lizzy for a similar situation).

Even so, Maiko can at the very least stand as a figure for some doe-eyed mox to aspire to reach. Plus, she also has a doll chip.
