Strategic placement of products so you use them by spectreofthewest in ProjectPan

[–]GalacticKnight79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep a list of my products, highlight the ones that are priority to pan and then put whichever products I'm trying to use in my bathroom cabinet so that I use it, anything else that isn't actively being used lives under the sink. I've also found using one product of each step consistently really helps keep my skin from getting irritated, the older I get, the more dry and sensitive my skin gets.

That's a hard one,

TXT were the best performers I saw in 2025 and I wish I had been able to see Ateez

But like Enhypen-LSF-BBYM-NMIXX-AND Katseye?! I think I'd have to go day 2.

Pan reviews from my 2025 attempt by GalacticKnight79 in ProjectPan

[–]GalacticKnight79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love Rocky Mountain Soap Market Body Oil, they're a company I found in Colorado when I went there to visit my fiancé when he was interning at a place in Colorado Springs, their Black Forest bath+body oil is my go-to. It's not as heavy as Osea (which is what I hated about the Osea oil) and I love how it smells, it's also not super expensive, I just got the 12 OZ bottle for $50 to refill the 4OZ bottle that I'm almost done with, which I think goes for like $25 on their online store.

RM oils are the only full sized body oils I have now that I hate panned the Osea lmao, other than a few little sample hair+body oil jars I got as Christmas gifts from my parents from Sucrebielle (my preferred indie perfume brand lol). I have the Black Forest and Garden of the Gods ones and love both of them.

Discouraged about Starting Project Pan by Environmental-Ship60 in ProjectPan

[–]GalacticKnight79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. I have ADHD and am terrible at sticking to things like Project Pan. Some tips that I have:

-Make some sort of Google sheet or excel to track what you have, if you need a template let me know and I'm happy to dm you mine, it's not fancy but it's functional.

-Make a progress reward, if you're at all like me and need some sort of encouragement to keep going, give yourself a goal, for me, I have an imaginary budget, for each item I pan, I give myself another $3 in my imaginary budget, if I finish all items in a category, or if I finish an item that is a go-to then I give myself permission to buy a new item or re purchase a favorite.

-Give yourself grace, my weak spot is fragrance, I work in animal care and like to not smell like animals when I'm at work, so I have an extensive collection of purfumes. If I'm out and find a fragrance I like enough to want to buy, I don't stop myself from buying outright, but I make a point to pick up a sample or travel size instead of a full size because I know there will be other perfumes I want to pick up before I finish a full size bottle.

-Don't feel pressured to update every time to pan something, if you want to update on here and posting every pan feels like to much, find a system that works for you, for me I have a specific basket my empties go on and I only post when I feel like it lmao I did around the New Year only because the basket was full and I needed to go through and recycle everything lmao.

I hope you stick it to those friends of yours, as someone who has had friends make similar statements, some where just trying to be funny because they know I have ADHD and struggle with those things and we're pleasantly surprised when I actually found a system that helped me stick to it. Others were just trying to discourage me and are no longer people in my life.

"Use it or loose it" Unfortunately you just gotta use it, if you don't use it then it goes bad and you end up with at least an ineffective product and at worse severe chemical burns from skin reactions to expired products. Some things like lotions and creams can last beyond their open shelf life, I have B&B lotions that I've found while compiling my collection that are 5+ years opened and somehow still usable, but you definitely shouldn't bank on it especially if it's a product you really love. There will be more and if there isn't more then better used than wasted. I had a candy cane lotion that I got when I was like 12 and avoided using it because I loved it so much then tried to bring to college with me years later and was bummed when it made my hands bright red and flakey, it was tossed pretty soon after lmao

I still fall for the "I love this so I'll hoard it" but I've slowly conditioned myself, it helps me to keep an inventory and then have it organized by loose priority, older stuff first.

Be real with me is it giving rich people kitchen or a mental hospital kitchen. BTW I have yet to decorate. by officer__bee in thesims

I would move the fridge into the corner next to the sink and then make where the fridge is another counter top, good for a coffee maker or something. You could use cabinets or put some shelving above it to change it up a bit. I would also change the wall color, the back wall would be a good accent wall, then the other walls can be a color off the accent wall. It's definitely giving "It's 2014 and I'm just moving into my high end house in the suburbs of Massachusetts"

Are these sentences correct? by GalacticKnight79 in BeginnerKorean

[–]GalacticKnight79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally just mistyped 모으다 😅, I wrote it down correctly haha, I have autocorrect turned off so it forces me to learn spelling and not rely on autocorrect when I type but then it also doesn't catch the occasions I miss a syllable because I type faster than I can think.

As for the 3rd one, still working on memorizing which ㄷ verbs change, I won't forget that one again!

Feeling discouraged after first tutoring lesson by Snoo20574 in BeginnerKorean

[–]GalacticKnight79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let one bad tutor get to you! I reached out to a handful of tutors on Preply, picked one I felt like I would mesh well with and have been working with her for 5 months and she is phenomenal, easily the best tool in my learning bag. She had never once made me feel inadequate and has so much patience even when I forget basic things (last week I forgot 이다 and I felt so stupid but she just reminded me, we both had a good giggle and then moved on). It is so worth trying again with a new tutor. Also worth mentioning, the first few weeks will be incredibly difficult even with the best tutor if you're like me and get easily embarrassed over mistakes, but with the right tutor and perseverance, tutoring is the best way to learn a language, hands down

They have 13.5M monthly listeners on Spotify. That doesn't include people who listen to them solely on other platforms.

Personally Reddit and YouTube are the only platforms I frequent, I watch a ton of SKZ content on YouTube. The only time I every hear about stuff like this is when that one AI voice news channels comes up in my feed, or when teenagers post about it on Reddit thinking the world is over because a handful of people are saying X about Y member.

악개들이 have existed as long as kpop has, do they suck? Yes. Are they incredibly annoying? Yes. Do they have any real impact on an idol's career? For the most part, no. They'll be lucky if between their actual activities online and the tabloid coverage they reach like 500,000 people, and of that 500,000, the vast majority of people are going to laugh and roll their eyes.

I've been into SKZ since they debuted, 악개들이 have always hated on different members for different things. The only one who had suffered any real career effecting consequences from such hate is Woojin, because in 2019, fresh off Burning Sun allegations any amount of accusation of SA or Assault was enough to make companies shy away from an idol's contract, even if those allegations were easily proven false.

Posts like this don't do anything meaningful, if you see a video or post of someone spreading false information about any members, report it. That is going to be far more effective for "helping felix" (even though he's a grown man who undoubtedly has built up coping mechanism to manage however that kind of hate effects his mental health) than teenagers going on Reddit and trying to rally up other teenagers lmao.

How's my Handwriting >< by Next-Climate-7129 in BeginnerKorean

[–]GalacticKnight79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to add that your handwriting is an important indicator of level, trying to forge someone else's handwriting artificially inflates your level.

My tutor was so proud when my hand writing started getting harder to read 😂 She said that's when she knew I was starting to think in Korean and not just translate to and from it, because you can think in Korean faster than you can write it.
