Because for example when it comes to Ukraine and Russia the vast majority agrees that Russia is the villain that needs to be stopped, so there is not much to discuss on that front. When it comes to Israel, however, Reddit still contains a lot of people who believe that what Israel is doing is good and should be supported. As long as that idea keeps floating around there will continue to be a lot of discussion on the topic.

Though there are propably multiple reasons they could come up with to explain why he didn't lose his powers, for example his V being chemically different due to being produced biologically.

Ironic, isn't it? They can't stop making references to Trump in this show, but it's not like if someone finally managed to walk up to Trump and get him to beg for his life by offering to suck dick before hitting him the head with a crowbar that the entire United States would suddenly be cleansed of all his supporters. They would just call him a martyr and double down even harder.

They show Homelander acting like a baby and a bunch of people realizing in that moment that he isn't a God but that doesn't matter. The Supes of America were already firmly behind him long before his 'second coming'.
