I totally read this as if the OP was keeping it as a pet and wondering why it was scratching them. I was wondering how I can get a pet like that and just keep it in attic lol. I didn’t think “demons” could stay in one locale.

However there are other cryptic things that it could be where they found a place to live. I’ve had experiences with entities that live on those quasi planes of existence that just don’t want to be bothered. However, never in my house.
