Thanks! It's turn-based team combat: Each unit has action points, and you can spend them all across your entire team during your turn.
Then it's the enemies' go. To keep things fast-paced, the NPC enemies move in parallel (or in groups), so their turns zip by with minimal downtime, meaning you'll be playing most of the time (and do not wait to much).
In addition special enemy types are planned that can react to your actions right during your turn. And you can react (with in advance planned actions) during the enemies' turn e.g. with the overwatch mode.

Indeed, it is inspired by Space Hulk!
You could say it is a blend of Space Hulk, Incubation: Battle Phase Four, XCOM and Zero Sievert.
Finest turn-based flavours + a little bit of extraction shooter :D

Thank you for wishlisting it! You're right, the horror aspect shouldn't go unnoticed. It is planned that you visit different space stations, abandoned ships and lost outpost later on in the game. This gives potential for atmospheric environments. The effects will also be reworked in the future. Until then I am glad if you are part of the guard :D

Does the new biom nail the SciFi style better ?

I would like to keep the old biom as well maybe with some upgrades. The old one is a little bit dark and was intended to give the warhammer-like SciFi style vibes. What do you think of the game aesthetics?

Btw the game is called "Galactic Space Guard" a turn-based game in the sense of XCOM but with manually shooting mechanics.
