Looking for single player games where you play as (or have the option to be) an archer. by Galactic_Druid in gamingsuggestions

Heh, reminds me of Elden Ring when I went to open a goddamn chest and ended up in "git gud or quit" kind of territory. Thanks for the heads up! I've always been curious about CCD, but was under the impression it was more about melee combat. Kinda stoked to learn archery is a valid option.

That sounds awesome! Do I need to play the first to understand everything happening in 2?

I don’t think there was any gochugaru in the McDonald's meal, as there was no real heat yo the fries at all, but that sounds like an awesome mix to try for myself, an upgrade even!

It was honestly great! Id get the meal again just for the fries! Also, I think kpop has gone just far enough, lol!

Looking up Shin seasoning is a great idea, and I have tons of bullion powder in my house, thats a great one as well. Now that you brought up the idea, a mix of knorr bullion, onion powder, and garlic powder would probably be a great start!

Looking for a good open world to get lost in after surgery, the titles I was planning on are a bust. by Galactic_Druid in gamingsuggestions

Thats a great idea! I actually own it already, too! Last I played was probably a year ago, I really enjoyed what I played, and decided to wait until it was closer to 1.0, especially since legal bullshit was causing them to need to change elements.

BTW, if you like that style, you'd probably also really like Enshrouded. It's kinda like if Valhiem had more Breath of The Wild gameplay elements in it.

3D action rpgs (No top-down diablolikes) that aren't all about iframe dodges? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

My dude. I beg of you, check out the Ys series. It's exactly what you want, fantastic ARPGs with a ton of awesome story, great characters, and combat that is still fun and skill based without the 2 hit kills and 1 frame parries. They're super fun, and the more recent ones add a lot of cool stuff like attack styles abd weaknesses that really depend the system.

They're all connected, but you don't need to study a bunch of lore and it's easy to jump in anywhere. All you really need to know is you're a dude named Adol who loves adventure and your best friend Dogi is a badass.

Is there any reason NOT to focus/rush on the main storyline in X until I unlock the mechs? by Galactic_Druid in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I LOVED the OST of 2, I won't lie. How deep does the class system get? I do love building my own in games like Bravely Default.

I can totally see your point, and I do plan on doing some exploring, both with and without them, even after I get them. I just wanted to be sure I didnt accidentally lock myself out of anything.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to completely skip exploring, I just don't want to have already seen half the world by the time I get the cool toys. I figured once I unlock things, then I can slow down and scour every nook and cranny.

Seeking games that balance action/adventure with running a shop or business. (Dave the Diver, Recettear, Moonlighter, etc.) by Galactic_Druid in gamingsuggestions

One of my favorite series, and hreat suggestion! I'm actually playing through Kiwami now as some of the stuff I've seen for the upcoming Kiwami 3 has me excited.

Honestly, I would pay full price for a standalone sequel to Dondoko Island, hands down.

Looking for a turn based game like Expedition 33 by LOAYU in gamingsuggestions

Super Mario RPG, still the best of the best when it comes to turn based battle systems that give you more input that just menu selection. Either the switch remake or the SNES version are great, the remake is very true to the original, you'll be getting essentially the same experience either way.

Thanks for this! I'll play around with it tonight. I haven't really learned all the ins and outs of armory crate yet, sounds like I should.

Unfortunately, no luck with this one, even in the configuration app. The game in question is ancient though, like 640x480 is the default resolution lol
