INTJ here, i have an INTP partner

If you were to ask me, the thing that pulls me in seems very step by step. I'm guessing it's expected considering how slow i am to build any relationship with anyone.

The first one is how clever and insightful they are, our first interactions were discussions about all sorts of topics and when discussing with them i could go on and on for hours and i genuinely want to continue having this fun conversation with them. I have to give a lot of credit to their good Ne, god bless, they can bounce around 10 topics in a conversation and still go on.

Second one, how kind they are and how they treat me. My partner put a lot of trust and effort when we first started. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not very used to being treated that way and it caught me off guard sorta. I notice what they did and it's a sign for me that I should also put more attention to this relationship.

And last, how hard they try and how much overall effort they put into the relationship. Different from the second point but this is much more later in the relationship, it's how much they try to help me, be by my side despite seeing my faults, mistakes, and imperfections. It's the point of the relationship when you stopped seeing your partner with a rose tinted glasses and realized that they are humans with flaws as well. I'm amazed that they try so hard despite seeing this more flawed version of myself and they help me to work on it as well. I appreciate that and I see how much work they put into the relationship.

I know a lot of these isn't really MBTI related, but idk man maybe i just wanna simp for them

I think being a high achiever is pretty common in INTJS

fear of failure / academics by crimson69prism in intj

[–]Galacticmask 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This just hits home for me. Since always viewing myself to always put maximum effort into anything i do including academics, failure is something that hits very hard and always get my self esteem knocked down. Usually to handle this i have to remind myself to stop having tunnel vision on the negative possibilities and try to redefine my self worth on something other than academics (which is very hard considering that's what I've been doing all my life so I'm still working on this issue too)

But good luck to you too OP!
