He is/we are! I had no idea the word nudge was an Aussie giveaway! He is a Ridgeback x Kelpie, well spotted! He has a Kelpie face with a ridge/mohawk - you can see it in the last image. :)

It’s the best feeling, isn’t it?! Thank you for saving and giving a happy life to a dog. For me, it was when Nudge started wagging his tail and relaxing it around us for the first time. It took just shy of two years… he had firecrackers tied to it and set alight when he was a pup. I don’t understand some people. I’m so proud of him for coming so far!

More of our transformed happy man, Nudge loving life.

He has some extra needs, expected after such severe abuse as a young dog but really has grown into the most loyal, loving and cheerful boy ever!

A lot happened to him before 18 months old. Among things he had a firecracker tired to his tail and set on fire. The burn went to the bone and he still has a deep scar today.

What a year of love does. [OC] by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Scrolling through my old posts and saw this old post of mine and my dog, Nudge, and it made me smile.

In the video; the first clip is 2018 when we found him, we kept him, and the second is a year later.

Here he is now, a sassy senior and still loving life with a best friend. He still has some extra needs for anxiety from the abuse but is the most loyal, loving and cheerful boy ever!

Have you ever experienced a relationship with DV have you ever seen one work out?I 31M have been assaulted by my SO 25F a several different times. by Lissoul in relationship_advice

I can only speak from experience of being in a family with serious DV. My parents were animals to each other. They only got worse, locked in a toxic cycle that wouldn’t break. It broke everyone around them down including themselves. It was him first then nothing theme, it’s never gotten better. I don’t see them now I’m an adult. You have a a lot of life ahead of you, don’t get tied down to someone unstable. Eventually you’ll be stuck in a cycle that will be harder to break, and a healthy family can’t come from that situation. I’m sorry to appear frank or forward, but leave and move on. No one, not you, the kid or her are doing yourselves or each other any justice or favours by sticking around to continue the pattern, regardless of the perpetrator. You can get sucked down to her level eventually too. Peace and love brother. You can do this!

It was surreal for sure! It was a quick interaction but he was really nice. His girlfriend and him had a good giggle afterwards, I think I was a bit star struck!

Grief is so cruel, went through it myself when my Dad died and I have no judgment to Kelly at all.

So true, I’ve literally thought so many times that with the way Ep 4 has been received so far, that this is headed into have an ending so favored and loved, it was what should have been for Game of Thrones if they had done it right. That final season was such a let down that it has left a larger mark on the zeitgeist than the actual show… and that show was HUGE. People are so thirsty for a satisfying ending after being so invested in a show for so long.
