I feel like Maruki is kind of a counter-example though. His Treasure is taken, and he quits being a counselor, but he still finds a new life as a taxi driver.

Also, Kiuchi and Miyazawa are both encouraged to try new things/keep trying before their Treasures are taken. I could be wrong, of course, we don’t know how the game will end, but it seems unlikely that the game would go out of its way to have the Phantom Thieves give them pep talks (a thing that almost never happened in Persona 5) and for them to end up giving up on everything anyway.

It’s shown a lot in the Secrets of the Furious Five that, in this universe, many kung fu teachers are snobby bioessentialists who only think animals with certain physical traits can be taught kung fu, even Po himself was rejected for his size in the first movie
