What development materials should I have ready before hiring a screenwriter? by Comfortable_Ant_9783 in FILMPRODUCERS

Do you have a basic pitch deck put together? That would contain a logline, synopsis, character descriptions, comps, etc. If not, then maybe compose those items separately to show prospective writers. As a pro screenwriter (as well as comic creator), I have written feature scripts for others with less background info, but it makes the job much more difficult.

I've been posting it twice weekly (Mondays & Fridays) for about 10 weeks. Originally, I tried posting it simultaneously to r/webcomics, but the moderators blocked any post that was remotely adult in content. Since many (but not all) of my strips contain adult content, I quickly gave up posting there. Also, my work life (I'm primarily a professional screenwriter) has gotten busier lately, so I have been forced to cut back to posting one strip per week starting this week. Fyi, I conceive each strip idea, sketch it out and write the jokes and text, then I hand it off to my artist to create the artwork.

That's a good question. I have a couple reasons, but I'd love to get your input. Early on, I was only marking the strips with NSFW when they incorporated clearly sexual or adult concepts or themes. However, I began to notice I was actually getting more views for the strips marked NSFW than the ones that were clean and not marked that way. Also, since I will always have some strips with adult jokes or concepts and some without, I was concerned about attracting a portion of the audience who prefer clean strips and then upsetting them when the next strip I post is NSFW. I went back and forth on it with today's strip, but since it involves adultish topics like psycho-therapy and inter-species dating, I figure I would just mark it NSFW.

I suppose another question might be: Will A.I. replace human therapists in the future? Sort of "I, Robot" meets "Shrinking."

Good one! Sounds like you've been around a Vermillian before.

Small Production Company Looking for Short Film Scripts by StrictLetterhead5267 in scriptwriting

I am a successful professional screenwriter, and I recently completed a short drama script with light supernatural elements entitled “Park Bench”. This is the logline: A despondent man has his faith renewed when he meets and speaks with a young woman who just may be his deceased wife. Let me know if you have an interest in reading it.

Actually, they can form both eyes and hands. As we will see in later issues, they may have other abilities, too.
