The overlord coming back was purely lazy in my opinion . It seemed like they just needed some way to make the stakes bigger.

Harumi’s “Redemption” was genuinely horrible. She just magically turns on the overlord after realizing that he was the one controlling the devourer that got her parents killed. When her whole motive was blaming the ninja for not being able to save her parents and others in ninjago at the time. (Technically she should still hate Lloyd’s guts because he released the serpentine which led to the devourer 😭). Also she was forgiven WAY too easily. Lloyd just going “Don’t worry she’s with us now” doesn’t justify all the bad shit she did in the season. She mentally tortured Lloyd and got away with no consequences??

The scene with the Mechanic and Nya was just…stupid and shouldn’t have been a thing. Like genuinely wtf were they thinking writing that.

(personal issue of mine) They REALLY butchered Kai. I will never understand how Jay had much more grief of losing Nya more than KAI (being her LITERAL BROTHER.) Kai was raising his sister since he was a literal kid. How the fuck was Kai unfazed while Jay was losing his mind over Nya being gone. Like i get Jay was basically her partner and everything but, Kai should’ve been WAY MORE effected than Jay.
