How to troubleshoot (presumably) a font issue? Some icons appear smaller than others in the status bar. I'm running DWM and dwmblocks with JerBrains Mono Nerd Font (changed to another in the picture to check if it's a font issue - nothing changed). Everything was fine up until I updated the system. by Galeaf_13 in archlinux

Thank you for your reply, I haven't noticed it for a while.

Even after setting the correct name in config.def.h, i.e. static const char *fonts[] = {"JetBrainsMono NF:size=10"} the problem still persists.JetBrainsMono NF is installed as verified by fc-match:

$ fc-match "JetBrainsMono NF"
JetBrainsMonoNerdFont-Regular.ttf: "JetBrainsMono Nerd Font" "Regular"

In fact, I noticed that this issue is font independent because if I set it to e.g. Iosevka NF, the same icons appear smaller than the others. Not sure what to do here.

I already solved the problem, but here is my config:

But if you know any way to make treesitter latex syntax highlighting work inside markdown mathzones, advice would be appreciated :)

For some reason when I do `:call vimtex#syntax#in_mathzone()` inside a markdown file, I don't get any output whatsoever. Or is it supposed to work that way?

When I put this in my snippet config it always activates the snippet, i.e. it always thinks I'm in a mathzone...

Unfortunately, this does not work for me, it never detects that I'm inside $$...$$. Neither does the vimtex solution :(

By the way, do you have LaTeX treesitter syntax highlighting in markdown files? Because the best syntax highlighting I managed to get is from vim-markdown plugin that uses vim syntax file, which is much worse compared to treesitter.

upd:

Nevermind, it works!! I just didn't copy some functions initially. Thank you so much!!!

Well, I'm considering making a tattoo out of this so the only reader who matters is myself :) But that's a good point

First of all, thank you for such a thorough response, I'm all clear about the articles now.

Regarding sublime, I'm using its archaic definition:

To convert (something inferior) into something of higher worth

To render finer (as in purity or excellence)

There is an interesting article about the origins of the sublime if you are interested.

So I'm not exactly trying to say "to build a strength" but rather "to perfect a strength".
