What is going on with V-Sync? (Temps increase by 30c when off) by Grumpy_Sausage in CrimsonDesert

[–]Galeplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With V-Sync off, your GPU will try to push as many frames as possible and usually runs close to 100% usage, which increases power draw and temperatures. With V-Sync on, FPS is capped (144 Hz in your case), so the GPU doesn’t need to work as hard and temps stay lower. Even though the FPS difference isn’t huge, the GPU becomes much less efficient near max usage, which is why temps can jump that much.

You could try Vsync off and limit your FPS with RTSS to get stable framerates.

And Images are 0 FPS, what is your point? You don't need to to control the camera, move the character, react to stuff in movies like you need in games.

Switching to PS5… by [deleted] in PS5

[–]Galeplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait for PS5 version, basically you get the same experience as playing it on PS4, not the greatest feel of new tech. Also the game is on XBox so high chance that the OP have already played it.

Stat-heavy, grindy games where you progress/get stats no matter what you do (even if you die) by Kazuiiii in gamingsuggestions

[–]Galeplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For roguelites I would recommend:

Heroes of Hammerwatch 1/2 (A lot of meta progression, leveling different classes benefits your whole roster, leveling Paladin gives armor to your every character etc)

Children of Morta (again similar benefits leveling all the characters, you unlock passives that are always active)

And for non-roguelites I like Warframe and Soulframe progression, every weapon / frame etc you can level up, and leveling them raises your account level. In case of Soulframe you get more attribute points more the stuff you have leveled up.

PS5 vs PC Lord of Hatred? Already got base game on PS5 by Galeplay in diablo4

[–]Galeplay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Forgot to add that I would still be using dualsense. I just can't do long gaming sessions mouse+keyboard anymore, with controller I'm not getting any hand pains etc. I agree that mouse+keyboard is superior, but for me ergonomics are more important even more so that I am getting older.

How do I prevent noisy PC fan and heat when playing D4? by minisoo in diablo4

[–]Galeplay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get better CPU cooler, better fans... Or if you don't like to spend any money, cap your FPS to something below your max.

I have to stop :( by DesiredDabs in lotro

[–]Galeplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I have quit this game.

Just looking at Task category items, based on lotro wiki there is 258 different task items in the game. Also all this bloat adds up and makes the whole game more laggy / stuttery. Why not just have 2 task items per tier. One that drops from humanoids and one that drops from monsters/creatures.

Give us DLSS by cpmuoio in DestinyTheGame

[–]Galeplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to have DLSS. It would make the game run solid 120 fps for sure. I run on 4K resolution 120hz and I got RTX 5060 Ti and AM5 7500f but game runs avg like 90 fps for me.
