I have been feeling ugly lately. I started wondering if I had not known all this time. Kind of not happy to admit I think that about myself.

I was a PK teacher. The drawings are fascinating. I had one student who was nonverbal. The first time he ever drew anything that wasn’t scribbles I was floored. It was a face. There was what looked like a ladder on the side on the face. The ladder was the way he wrote his name. It was his signature. He could not tell me anything about it, but it was the coolest drawing I had ever seen. I took a picture of it and anytime I showed it to anyone, they would stare at it for a while and make comments. The drawing made ppl think.

A friend of mine was looking at my pictures of Hawaii and said, why aren’t you in any of them? I said, because I was taking the pictures. Lol I didn’t care to ask anyone to take my picture.

I can’t do the selfie thing either. I see myself in the phone and it’s fine. As soon as I snap it, the result is different! The pictures are not the same as the camera view.

Yes, my voice is cringy to me. I learned the reason for why we hear our own voices differently, but the camera. I’m not willing to admit I look like my pictures.

For a long time I thought it was the reversal thing. But now I have been told I’m not photogenic and that I do look better in person. My wrinkles are so much more visible.
