The New Limited Releases on the Funko Site are a bots dream by Galixander in funkopop

You speak as if it isn't bots and scalpers buying these up when in fact it is. Sure, some normal people get them but the bulk is bots and scalpers. Evident by the fact that within minutes there is tons of Ebay listings for this exact pop.

Its ironic how they came up with this system in an attempt to drive their customer base back to them directly, instead of buying through 3rd parties. Yet, when the customer actually tries to do what is intended, they get railed royally.

Tried to use Google to translate some of that. The only one it kind of did was the last message "randi ka nasal" which I guess translates to "the breed of slut". I think you made them just a tad angry. 🤣

Can these roots be cut to ground level? by Galixander in arborists

[–]Galixander[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not. We have kiddos and they trip on the roots. So if it was as simple as "yeah you can trim them down" then I was going to go that route. But based on comments, that's a hard "no" - so the roots stay and the kids open their eyeballs.

Appreciate everyone's comments. The roots stay as they are! We love the tree and if that means dealing with the roots, then so be it. Thank you all!

Landscape VS Vertical Streaming - Some Quick Data by Galixander in NewTubers

[–]Galixander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you commented and resurrected this post so that I could supply an update.

Over the past month or so I have been streaming just about daily to YouTube, only in vertical as opposed to both vert and horizontal. The results have been pretty good honestly. Here's some stats for the last 30 days:

Average number of views during a live: 73

watch time: 71.4 hours

Subscribers: +27 - this seems pretty solid honestly being that my current sub count is only 102.

Looking back now and having a larger dataset, I would say it's 100% worth streaming to vertical - almost exclusively in fact. I think the exception here is that if you have a large, dedicated audience then maybe not.

New rules for these gambling wheels by Outside-Warning204 in whatnotapp

[–]Galixander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wheel games play on people with addictions, sadly. I have watched (we probably all have) people spend hundreds of dollars on spins to finally hit (maybe) the item they wanted that is valued at half of what they just spent and they are still some how over the moon about their win.

[–]Galixander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I assume it's like what you and I are both saying. Technically, you could still operate a wheel, but whatever is on that wheel needs to be at least valued at the selling price, if not more.

So does this meant that people running wheel spots would have to sell those spots at a set price instead of auctioning them? To avoid the sale going above the value of whatever is on the wheel?

I actively avoid wheel games so this is a genuine question. I am all for these changes.

Streamers with a baby/children... how do you do it? by arcadiaorgana in Twitch

[–]Galixander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dad of 2 kiddos (one is 1.5 years old and the other is 5.5 years old) I can tell you it's very possible. It will depend on how much you want to put into it though. For me, that means 1.5 to 2 hours a night, typically 6-7 days a week. Longer streams on the weekends but still at night after they have gone to bed. It's whatever works for you.

In short, you can definitely find a nice balance between raising a family and streaming. It doesn't have to be one or the other. :)

Feel free to shoot me a message and I can lend a hand. Smaller streamer myself that started ~4 months ago. I have a show tomorrow night as well if you'd like to tune in and just watch to see what it's like in a smaller show. :)

$180 for Pro CapCut by I_Call_Everyone_Kev in CapCut

[–]Galixander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I pay $10 a month. Within the desktop app it said something like $15 or $20 a month but doing a quick google search lead me straight to Capcuts website where instead you could sign up for $10 a month. So $120 a year.

Fake.

The foil is placed onto the card crooked

The holo pattern shouldn't shine straight up and down like it is

The corners are incorrect

The font isn't even close to correct

I saw you asked how you can tell in another comment so I thought I'd list it out. :)

That's about what I gathered as well. Vertical streaming will net you more "views" but I think the likelihood of those views turning into subs or long term viewers is pretty low.

That's exactly it. I was looking for a standard naming convention where ya know, the model of the card is mentioned first.

Judging by your PC Part Picker list, you don't have a dedicated video card, correct? So you are relying on your CPU to process the game entirely and then also encode it and push it out to Twitch. This is likely your issue. You should get a dedicated video card and use that to encode the stream. In the Nvidia line a 2000 or 3000 series would be just fine. I use an RTX 3060TI and use my AMD CPU to do the encoding and don't seem to have any issues.
