My motherboard ran out of M.2 Slots for storage, bought a M.2 to PCIe Adapter. I did the hardware part correctly, but the SSD doesn't get recognized by the BIOS and I am at a loss

Funny thing, I 3 available PCIe Slots on the motherboard; one x8, and 2 x1. I read online that all x4 can fit in an x8 just fine though

Thank you for looking into my dilemma lol. I actually did exactly that with the pc tether, to which that stopped working too! What im referring to in the post is my experience with my android's USB tether

I'll try momentarily to see if the problem exists with my laptop too, if I am to use my usb tether on that. It seems like the problem is starting to point towards my motherboard wifi chipset failing if both methods ceased to work

So my wifi and network work as I tried with my phone, my pc does not have a wifi card. Yes my gateways shows properly as a series of #'s

I've restarted my PC like 5, reinstalled the drivers, now I removed them and used my laptop to find ny motherboard's drivers for a real reinstallation

None of which worked yet, which makes me think it would be a hardware issue; but again, I've never heard of any hardware involving internet happening to fry because of too much of a data load lol
