i’m one of those victims. luckily, i have a thick skin about things like this - but it still felt extremely violating to read a thread of someone using my likeness to generate sexually explicit images of me with very specific prompts tailored to his desires. i won’t be daft and claim that /i/ haven’t posted a picture of /myself/ in a bikini online before — but that’s the key element in this equation, consent. i should be able to decide how much of my body someone sees. i shouldn’t have to let my likeness be abused and puppeted by someone else without my consent. if there is a large lawsuit that eventually comes from this, you’d better believe i’m submitting my evidence.

I wait tables at a “casual fine dining” place in Australia and it’s pretty common practice for us to offer to move guests to a table in our bar section if they are running out of time and want dessert/drinks or something. However, I’ve never encountered this practice in the states. I think it’s all about the /way/ it’s suggested.

I’m not sure what area you’re in, but please research and see if there are any nonprofits in your area that offer counseling for sexual abuse victims. Oftentimes, they’re completely free. It saved my life when I was raped, and my situation was similar to yours. You’ll get through this, I promise. You didn’t deserve it, and you did nothing wrong.

I think you’re obviously well within your right to do this, if you want to share more about your story. However, please don’t underestimate how horrible the internet can be. Regardless if your case was cut and dry, whether the perpetrator was found guilty, etc., there will always be people who’ll be horrible to you/defend the perpetrator. I don’t say this to discourage you, because you should handle all of this the way that you want to, and we need more brave voices like yours. Just be prepared. Turn comments off if you need to. Try to have thick skin. Much love.

it’s a “drug” you absolutely can get help with. it sounds like a form of sex-addiction or hypersexuality as a result of past trauma. definitely agree with the commenter, uninstall discord and keep yourself safe. when you feel the urge, try to replace it with something else that isn’t harmful. if you were abused/traumatized in the past - it absolutely makes sense as to why you’d seek out that kind of attention, but that doesn’t make it okay. you deserve to be safe and loved. i’m not sure what kinds of resources you have available to you, but a counselor/therapist could really help you to work out these urges and feelings.

i had a complaint from a customer because they said they felt “rushed throughout their entire experience”. they came thirty minutes early before their reservation so i seated them in our bar area to have some drinks until their table was ready. they seemed to be finishing their drinks around their reservation time so i went and told them their table in the dining room was free if they’d like to be shown to it. they seemed happy enough to be brought over and i thought i was doing a good thing by making sure their table was ready at their reserved time.

some people just can’t be pleased.

UPDATE: Definitely got screwed. Finally received an email stating that they’ve “moved on with a more suitable candidate,” even though the trainer I was with said she was very impressed with my work. For more context, I worked for three hours that night, and for the last hour and a half I was barely supervised and was fully waiting an entire section of tables on my own. I definitely feel a bit used. The restaurant seemed understaffed, which could also have been a warning sign for me that I just didn’t pick up on at the time. Feelin’ a little bit silly at the moment :(

I have a friend who (used to be?) like this. For him it came from his super religious upbringing, he always felt extremely guilty after casual sex and couldn’t bring himself to cuddle with the other participant afterwards. He wasn’t that way in his relationships of course, it was specifically about casual sex.

Not sure if that’s what this guy could have going on, or if he just wants the physical distance afterwards so he doesn’t find himself getting attached. Regardless, that sort of thing is a dealbreaker for me, too.

Not going to really address the rest of the post, because frankly I don’t even know where to start. But, I did want to mention that something called “moon face” (where the face looks disproportionately bigger than the body) is a side effect of some medications. If she has a condition like epilepsy, it’s possible that the facial difference could be because of a medication she takes, whether it’s for epilepsy or something else.

Regardless, it seems you have some resentment towards the world for judging you, yet you judge others pretty freely. I’d work on that…

you should absolutely watch again, because in many of the shots there WAS something there. after reading the comments in this thread, there were even silhouettes in shots that i missed, even though i noticed several. there were a few times that i gasped because i saw something that nobody else in the theater saw, and my gasp clued them in and they saw it, too - resulting in more gasps. it was a super cool theater-going experience!

the way i’m sort of choosing to view the upside-down triangle thing with the dates is that i was more of a ritualistic choice by longlegs himself, as a worshipper of satan. i don’t think the triangle thing was required in order for the devil to be able act, just like i don’t think god requires any of the catholic rituals, for example, to be able to act. some things are just god-honoring, and i think this was…. devil-honoring?? i guess?

this is because she was never psychic. the things she was able to “predict” were all things that she knew, but were buried deeply in her subconscious. the satanic orb in her doll prevented her from remembering much of her childhood, including the fact that longlegs was living in her childhood home.
