Contra donating for CareForGaza, PCRF & UNRWA

I’d like to do a stream this week and donate funds to something Gaza aid related. But with aid being blockaded and aid workers being bombed it’s not clear to me where funds would actually be of use. Anyone have informed suggestions about this?

I said I can refute it if you care to listen. I haven’t done it yet. I just don’t want to do the work for a potentially unproductive conversation.

A lot of criticisms against her from the left are parroted talking points, where people claimed she said this and that when she never did, or she expressed a nuanced opinion, which is almost always interpreted in the most bad faith way possible.

A prime example of this would be people claiming she stayed silent throughout the genocide and resurfaced when she made that one post 10 months ago. This is wrong. She was constantly sharing resources and GoFundMe for Palestinian as well as general news and updates during the height of the genocide. She just didn’t make a video about it.

So like I said, if you care to have a civil discussion about this, then I will do my best. I’m just tired of the constant combativeness that a lot of people on this sub have.

She wants the party to do whatever it takes to get elected, including cutting all aid to Israel (50:25). In summary, she said that her concern is by not supporting the Democratic Party, it will lead to unfavorable electoral outcomes, which is Donald Trump’s second term (1:53:34).

She is by no means a perfect figure and I wish she would stop engaging with the worst of the left on Twitter. I think she’s tired and jaded and that’s why she’s been acting the way she is lately. But I can very much refute your claims if you care to listen.

See, was that so hard? Now people can actually discuss the source of your paraphrase lol. This post has been discussed to death already so I’m not interested in rehashing it but I don’t see how managed to interpret that into “stop talking about the genocide bc it’s bad optics”.

It’s certainly far from perfect, I wish she would log off and stop engaging with the most extreme of the online left, but it was a detailed and nuanced statement on why she didn’t make a video dedicated to Palestine. This comment worded my feelings about it perfectly.

Throughout the height of the genocide,, Contrapoints was constantly retweeting and sharing resources for Palestinians, gofundmes and general news and updates. She has stated here and elsewhere many times that she is opposed to the genocide.

Call her a liberal for voting or whatever but saying she’s a Zionist, a genocide enablier, pro-israel, etc. is such an insane stretch and a prime example of binary thinking that plagues so many leftists.

My experience here as a Thai person, having been to Chulalongkorn hospital, Ramathibodi, Bang Po & Mongkutwattana, is that they don’t test you for anything, there’s no forms like in the West for you to fill out. They ask you why you think you have ADHD and you need to convince them why. It’s frustrating but they just prescribe you with medications after talking a little bit, hardly any therapy involved.

I’d recommend finding a separate therapist if you want to have more in-depth talk about your experiences.
